Eh, I for one am going to eventually play as all the races to see which one I like the best.
From what I've seen of the races I like Avian the most right now. Probably because I played Metroid and like the premise of the Chozo.

 

I agree, Avian are pretty cool. I might roll one of them as well.

One question I'd like people to answer, though, if they read this post: Who's going to pick Human? It just seems so strange to me to pick Human when there's so many other cooler races out there, in a game like this. Is it just me? Am I being stupid? Cause I foresee a tiny portion of Human players in comparison to the other races. In any game like this, it's always seemed weird to me to pick human.

 

I agree that it is somewhat strange to me as well, but I guess maybe its because its what some are more comfortable with and they also want a character that closely resembles them in real life, just my opinion on that anyway. To answer the other questions in order is no its not just you and no its not stupid, at least not to me.
Its a game so to me, I'll play what I like and others will play what they like. Everyone is unique in some way or form, otherwise it'd be very boring in my opinion.

 

I'm stuck between them and the novakid

 

i'm starting as one then going to try novakid and see how that rides out lol....me and my MAIN friend are going to duo and then to take over all the planets in a multiplayer game lol......we will dominate with our duplicating army of poptops (i would say hylotls first because of there huge advantage underwater)

(cuttlefish is my idea of a hylotl )(to those who don't know what cuttlefish are: basically a super ninja octalookingfish with epic camouflage abilities...)

I hesistate between Floran, Hylotl and novakid even if I prefer hylotl for the moment. Depending on which races my friends choose I will make my choice to get a well balanced team in which everyone can be useful in his own way.

Me and my half-Japanese friend got into an argument with the president of our college Anime Club over this. He was claiming that Japan actually does have way more people dying their hair bright colors like anime characters, and me and my friend were pretty damn certain that this was entirely informed by a three day vacation during which he attended an anime convention in Akihabara. The sad part is, half the people who went on the trip with him were agreeing with him, and the other half weren't sure.

Of course, one college Anime Club isn't exactly a representative sample of gaijin otaku.

In the end it probably just depends on the area. I'm sure you're much more likely to see things like that in Akihabara; On the other hand I'd much rather go to Hokkaido... bear meat... Plus I love the scenery there. Too bad the dialect is most likely very different.

 

Hylotl... they look a bit odd. I don't really like the way they look as sprites but then, that's what it is. I also don't like their fin styles except for one.
The only thing I like from this race is the ship, their culture and being able to initially craft an under-water breathing armor. Somehow I would preferred if they were amphibious reptiles rather than fishes.

 

I have a Hylotl, I rather enjoy his clothes and coloring having based him off my fighting fish who is in his bowl next to me.

 

I will play them when Tiy finally adds their own furniture and block set.

 

I'm currently enjoying my Florian atm but the Hylotl do peak my interest and I plan on making my secondary char a Hylotl.

 

playing that, I find it less ugly than the rest. I'm willing to pay to see players playing hours the birdy characters. Those look so awfull.
