I got the game recently and I went to start it up but then every time I launched it, the game crashed. So I went on: http://systemrequirementslab.com/cyri to check if I had the specs and I didn't??? But then I looked further in to it and found this Thread: http://community.playstarbound.com/...d-beta-information-and-important-notes.48141/ And it says in stage 2: You have a low spec computer and want to make sure the game is optimized for it so when stage 2 comes out I will finally be able to test it. Tell me what your excited about and can't wait any longer for.
I tried to look for it but I couldn't find anything. But when I launched the game it was at the loading screen and it would just stay like that. I thought it was downloading something. So I left it for an hour by going to the shops to get myself a pack of the new pokemon cards pack and came back home to see it still on the loading screen. I then tried to quit the game cause I wanted to browse reddit. And my computer was frozen. I thought it was an error with the computer itself. So I restarted it and then did it again. But it still did the same thing. Does this sound familiar this bug... Btw I think I posted this to the wrong Fourm. Sorry
Go to C:/Program Files/Steam/Steamapps/Common/Starbound and open Starbound.log. Press CTRL + F and look for "Error", then copy and paste the error onto Pastebin.com and post the link here.
Hmm... That certainly is odd. When is it crashing? Could you go to Starbound/Win32/Bootstrap.config and paste the files contents here?
I Have great news. I left it for at least 5mins and the game worked. And I've been playing it since. But I still can't figure out why it was doing that.
I'm glad you got the game working! I can't wait for stage 2 because a lot of LP-ers I watch stopped playing the beta just because they don't want to lose their characters each time they start a new episode.
Yeah I'm going to do a let's play once they announce that the next upcoming updates won't get rid of your character. But I doubt that would happen.
