Who else convinced their friend to preorder Starbound?

i told a friend about it and he keeps telling me that the beta finally got a release date.
the joke's gotten so old...

 

I've convinced all of my friends to preorder Starbound. I have alot of friends.

 

I got one friend to pre-order the game when Beta was supposed to roll out long long ago. Now I steered 3 or so friends away from the game, telling them the devs have been unreliable on release dates and making deadlines. Basically I said 'the game will be good, get it when it releases' and then I go to this website feeling like an idiot for pre-ordering on the first day they accepted them.

 

Most of my friends are too close-minded/immature (not sure what the right word would be) to really enjoy 2D games :/

 

I think the true question here is Who hasn't convinced their friend to preorder Starbound

 

I may have convinced three more people. They'll probably buy it, but the question is how long they'll stay interested before they stop playing. Also they play League of Legends, which takes up most of their gaming time.

 

My friend said it was just a Terraria clone up until last night. He actually got interested in it because of my clan. I just started Copy+Pasting things onto his Steam until he started liking it

 

Does buying it for the said friend count?

I did better than convince one friend: I managed to convince 5 of them.

Now I have an entire squad of starboundians to play with during beta.
