Duuuuude, if someone had posted a new thread with a topic that even shared the same letters in the words as this one, half a thousand people would have posted their obligatory, "OMFG USE SEARCH BAR FORUM NOOB," comments.
I'll take the necro, this thread was actually interesting.

People over react like crazy persons when other people do this though.

Because every OTHER forum in the world shuns necromancy, and their moderators will track you down using your IP address and flog you. So some of the more salty forum goers carry that attitude to this forum. But its completely legal in this forum. Trust me.

Yeah wasn't trying to start a necro war, simply thought it would be better than adding another thread that already existed.

It would be nice to have and I can agree to some degree about mods and their quality. However this goes back to; Where does it end? I mean we have the morphball, then you say you'd like to see the grapple hook, okay then someone wants the blast cannon. Then another tech lets them spin lets say, okay now they wanna be able to collect coins and bounce on people's head. See where I'm going with this? Wanting everything from another game under the argument that'd it'd be beneficial isn't really going to work in the long run.

Nonsense, both games are obviously cheap copies of Thexder.

I never said it would be "beneficial" just nice to have. The only thing I'm interested in would be the grappling hook as that I would make exploration faster. Anyways if the Devs want to add something I wont protest it as it is their game. But I do expect them to hear us out on suggestions also.

Looks more like Edge of Space than Starbound tbh.

Meh, who cares? I've been calling Starbound "Terraria in Space" since I first saw it. And I'm sure I'll dump just as many hours and pay for just as many versions of Starbound as I did with Terraria. If it's fun, who really cares? :)

I had a great love for Total Miner, simply because of how bloody deep the world was. I loved how easy it was to get lost.

Starbound invented the square. Just as apple invented the rectangle.

Maybe at some point, if Starbound ends up being really good, you'll stop referring it to a mediocre title from the past like Terraria. I feel Starbound deserves to stand on its own feet without being called "Terraria in Space" - it's way more than that. It's what Terraria could and should have been if they tried harder.

Like I said though, I'm not deterring from the quality of Total Miner, just that it's more of a "copy" game than Starbound is.

I'm sorry Starbound does look a bit like terraria. And I don't see how "It's what Terraria could and should of been if they tried harder". Terraria stands on its own merits and fanboys like you should stop saying petty things.

    Fixed the typo :/

Please chillax, cyber, that last sentence was a bit venomous.
Nate: the reason people call Starbound 'Terraria in space' is that the basics of Starbound are very similar to the basics of Terraria, which was/is a very popular game.
Calling Starbound 'Terraria in space' is not insulting it, it is just a method of explaining to others what it is similar to.
