i am fine with that. I personally would date a black woman if she was intelligent,kind and not easily offended.
that standard applies to all women. race is irrelevent in my standards for a date.

i have no real interest in actually having this mod but if someone honestly wants something like this, then let them have it.

i bear no ill will towards anyone who disagrees as long as they keep it civil and their arguements free from doxxing,harassment,threats or anything that can cause actual harm.

also to the moderators...i have no intention of trolling or being a jerk.
while i cannot actually do anything about it...i request that this thread only be locked if someone is getting threats of violence...

i also want people to realize that the vast majority of gamers do not care about being represented.

for example.
samus is my second favorite character. does it bother me she is female? no. does her gender have any affect on my enjoyment of the games she is in? no.
i like samus becasuse she is a badass.

 

I kinda want to spend the rest of my week re-spriting every character to make them black now.

Why not just download GIMP and learn to do it yourself?

 

I do think people should be able to post those kinds of mods without getting flamed.

I mean, nobody has flipped about the Hispanic Alex mod nearly as much as they've thrown poo at the "Turning x character white" mods.
It's all about preference, even if most of us will never use such mods.

(However, in a world of SJWtards and the Tumbles, turning anything white or male is a crime in which the offender should be SWAT'd for, so... :^) )

Okay, I'll bite.

I find it hilarious that people are okay with Hispanic!Alex but not Caucasian!Maru/Demetrius. You're a hypocrite if you're saying you don't find it okay to change race, but you're okay with one or the other. Simple as that. (And more importantly, you better be seriously offended by anything furry because that's changing a lot more than skin color )

Point is, people are going to get butthurt over this because they can. And they are, in the end, making it more about race than the mods themselves are. Don't like it? Don't use it. Want it? Use it. Really, that's all there is to it.

 

There's literally no point in posting this aside from starting a fuss in the forums. You don't need to speak for people who want this, and your purpose behind this just seems to be inflammatory. There are already multiple skin changing mods present on the forums for both Maru and Demetrius. I'm not saying your intent is malicious, but this isn't needed. I think you should just drop it.

 

there's only two brown people in the whole game, that's why the latino Alex mod exists.

it might be fantasy land but a lot of folks appreciate that there is some degree of believability to the game and tbqh a huge portion of rural farming communities are not white people. people want to see representation of themselves and people like them in media so that they don't feel like a freak for being different. Pretty simple.

I think it is a great idea. I am biracial like Maru and I have much lighter skin but I don't care what race people like to date. I am sure people would like to have a mod where Maru is white, where Linus self identifies as a legless crab etc. I find it funny that people who want equality between the sexes and races get angry if anything is remotely white or heterosexual and especially male. I am biracial and homosexual and people who tell me I'm wrong for being attracted to men, everyone would call them a bigot. But if someone only is attracted to white persons they are attacked for it? Why can't people just like what they like? How is it hurting my black DNA or my white DNA for someone to have a preference. Pls lets all stop this nonsense. I wish I could make the sprites, I would mod them for people who want them. I was raised as a child to hate my white side, my light skin, my wooly hair and the way I spoke (I was teased for sounding like a white person). As I got older I threw that garbage programming away and see the beauty in all races, even white people and especially in myself. We can't come together if we let the so called 'educated' ideological bigots teach us that its okay to be bigoted if a person meets certain requirements ie. CIS White Hetero Men. It is never okay. I am attracted to men, I can't change that. Some are attracted to whites, some are attracted to blacks or hispanic or asian, some are attracted to different body types and accents and personality types. What we are arguing about is excluding white people and especially men from everything because we have been taught to hate under the guise of equality. STOPPIT NAOW! Love and let love!

It doesn't matter to me lol. I don't need to be pandered to but I appreciate that devs put in the diversity but I would still play if it were missing. I don't need gay/biracial/33yo security guard characters to play and enjoy a game. I live that life already, I play to have fun and escape my boring life not to make a pixelated version of it.
