Which Youtubers Do You Think Will Get Copies?

Anyway, besides the obvious answers of John and Jesse, I'm thinking more along the lines of OdysseyGamez.
One of those underrated channels that doesn't get enough love. They're going to make Starbound videos regardless, but I think they deserve a shot. Assuming some of them haven't already pre-ordered.

 

Ah geez, reading all of these comments is getting me worried that online might suck because there will be loads of annoying kids all over the place. Single player it is.

 

You could just make your own server or join a friend's.

 

Hey, we can always get private servers you know? We will totally use one of our servers to setup a medium sized Starbound private server!

Now moving on to youtubers topic: I do hope that only youtubers that aren't afraid of mashing a game for it's flaws get a hold of the Starbound press release. TB is a fantastic choice, he can be a dick sometimes but his "dickering" saved me from a lot of bad games last year. Also, if it wasnt for him I would never even considered buying "Dust: An Elysian tail" a fantastic indie brawler made buy one guy.

I Like PewDiePie and have been watching his videos since he was a small 1k sub youtuber. But sometimes he is kinda annoying, so for more serious gameplay I usually watch Cry and Ken. I can watch hours of PewDies scary games but for something more serious like "The Last Of Us" I do prefer Cry.

I don't see PewDie playing Starbound. Unless he plays with friends.

I would also recommend you guys to check ou WoodenPotatoes and MattVisual. They are both entertaining to see and have quite good constructive critique.

Tobuscus, for sure. His Terraria gameplay were pretty damn funny. And i prefer him over Pewd, mostly because he have an annoying voice.

 

I'd prefer that nobody would, but I don't mind if they do.
PewDiePie and Tobuscus are both obnoxious and their jokes and voices are almost physically painful to listen to. Rest of the lets players I haven't bothered to check.

Usually, the Yogscast gets a lot of hate on this forum so I tend not to share that I'm a fan. I'm actually pretty excited that they are getting their hands on it at the Gaming Festival next month. There are only going to be four members of the Yogscast there, but three of them are my favorites, being Sips, Sjin and Duncan.

 

Give it to peanutbuttergamer , that would be awesome xD.

 

From the Let's Players that I have seen before I would go with TotalBiscuit, Northernlion, NerdCubed, InTheLittleWood, and maybe Lewis + Simon. I wouldn't want to see it go to the more obnoxious ones like PewDiePie. Pretty much anybody with 50+ videos on Happy Wheels shouldn't be getting it.

 

I never got the appeal behind Happy Wheels, to be honest...

In any case, it seems that Totalbiscuit is the guy if the devs want a good review of Starbound. Thank you for recommending me to watch his videos, by the way.

 

Last time I checked, spouting nothing but screaming and rape jokes only constitutes as 'funny' to underaged children or manchildren in general who only care about terrible series like Call of Duty. They wouldn't know the first thing about playing Starbound as a game and I doubt PDP would even bother because he relies on the game as well to bring comedy to the table - which in turn is just him screaming and spouting things. It just wouldn't work.

 

yeah, total biscuit is pretty much the only commentator that I really like. When it comes to commentators that make me laugh, I guess critical(penguinz0) or game grumps(but not that much anymore really, the only reason I like game grumps is because I love jontron's reviews, and I love egoraptor's animations, so seeing them both together in 1 thing was awesome). When it comes to me just wanting to watch some games when I'm really bored, Nintendocaprisun and chuggaaconroy. Chuggaaconroy's really good at the standard let's playing. he really knows everything about the game he does.

I've watched plenty to give him a chance. Every single video I've watched was exactly as I've described. It's not rumor if I've actually taken the time to look into it.
