Which Month would you think Beta is going to start? (Poll)

Well, heh my mistake.
Sorry for my derpy error. Either way to correct my last post, beta will be awesome, while the full version will be epic!

I don't think it really means anything. That's probably just there so it's ready when beta does come out, which isn't necessarily 'soon'.

Well of anything I thought they would work start to finish... so that would mean by this logic the game is just starting to be worked on by the devs if the just finished the welcome to starbound log. My estimate might be late summer of late fall.

 

we can infer a few things now based on the fact the tech gui seems complete now, and in the roadmap it's listed as 20 percent.

 

It's fine, to be honest after writing that I thought I came off a bit too cynical, still what is said is said. I give you props for receiving that well nice to see people can learn. Heh I look forward to doing some testing with you.

 

It's possible the log was already ready, but they're just now beginning work on translating them into a format the game can read. *Cough cough*

 

It won't be before July. Probably August

no the beta is not any nearer then previously suspected

 

i have mentioned before

i am on record as having guessed October 13th

i don't really believe it will be in October and most certainly not on the 13th, however, i shall stick to the official record on this one

No, that's not a clear sign of anything except that the logbook has a working interface now.
Enough with the false positives and Peer-Into-the-Void logic. I'm pretty sure the only conclusive evidence we're going to get that the Beta is near is when Tiy announces it.

 

Yeah I'm still not convinced that this means anything.

 

They should slip in some old Illuminati tricks, obscure ones. That'll screw with our subconscious.

Yeah i think so too. It's like an introduction page to the game. Maybe some short tutorial what the game is about with some basic keyboard layout or such. I've seen such in many games.

 

Well...yah....so you start up a game and you get a lil journal entry that's made by the devs welcoming you to the game...lots of games do this. Many indie companies will have it in their tutorial where they'll thank you for supporting them,etc.

Seriously, all this proves is that when we start up the game we'll get a lil "Welcome to the game!" message...or perhaps it's only named that in the screenshot cause the person working on that was saying "Welcome to Starbound! Check out what progress we made to day!"....

 

It is kind of hope inspiring that the crafting/tech windows and recipies got knocked out so fast.
This way people wont have to use dev commands to access things. They kinda seem to be focusing on things that have to be in before we get our hands on it.

Maybe wishful thinking on my part tho.

 

End may/Early June.

 

I'll say may because I want it now no matter how buggy, but anytime it does come out, hopefully it won't collide with Elder Scrolls Online beta or DayZ standalone alpha, the other two big titles I'm eagerly awaiting.
