Where my fuels at?

So i don't know if im just having terrible luck with the planets im going to, but ever since i went to the X sector and going to threat level 6 planets and up, i have found about 700 plat ore, 500 copper, 400 diamond, 600 cerelium, and 100 coal. ONLY 100 COAL????
What happened to the oodles of coal found on threat level 4 planets and below? i used to have like 1.4k coal and i spent alot of it for torches and travelling on planets and i only have like 200 coal now. And Uranium is almost the exact same as coal, and is still not found in huge quantities. Am i the only one having problem finding fuel in the X sector or what?

 

Wood can be turned into Coal at the furnace. 10:1 ratio.
