Where is the SCIFI in this game? (And I want a molten core)

calm down, just trap the Flying Saucer in some block walls so it cant damage you, and just melee it through a wall lol

huh, I haven't managed to actually loot any gun weapons yet, fought plenty of avians armed with them using nothing but a small shield and a shortsword. lost a good.... 4k pixels in deaths, but I cleared the dungeon. No guns from them though and that was a threat level 3 planet.

 

lvl 3 planets i have found lacking aswell but sinds i have uncommon and rare melee weapons with AP 5 i think i'll hit up lvl5-6 planets to get beter gear, haven't found a shield tough :s makes i kinda hard. ample supply's of red stims and bandages do the trick for me

 

i think the OP is more upset about lack of scifi tech, eg flavor text, say instead of wood or coal to power ships you mine a similar resource which you smelt/fission into anti-matter for example - same premise but the flavor text is changed.

from what i got from his post his major gripe was with the fact that everything you did mine, you did in terraria, no alien minerals or the like.

I returned to the planet to fight the penguins but they are gone. Does that mean I have to build another beacon so they come back?

Is there any cheats to spawn a molten core? I am done with this shit. Wont spend another 2 hours to gather enough metals for a beacon that spawns near unkillable boss that you have to avoid and whichdisappears so you can repeat the grinding.

I totally agree, it just seems a bad troll who doesn´t know the word beta. Also, he may not like the genre in its entirety (due the terraria comment)

 

No offense. You have no right to call someone an idiot. Specially, with how ignorant you truly are. "I refuse to do other research! As I don't need to!" Ok, well, if you did research. You'd understand that this game isn't even 40% done. So, why are you being an complete asshole going around raging at people? Also, when you type words LIKE THIS it doesn't make it easier for us to read it. Though, it does make you extremely ignorant to assume people on here are not intelligent. Tbh, for all I care you can have the most miserable time on this game. However, the miserable time isn't from the producers. It is due to the fact that you are just a miserable person.

 

Obviously this game is a little too lowbrow for your taste... may I suggest Dark Souls? If not, then I suggest you learn programming to make a game that satisfies all of your needs. This may not be the game for you.

 

stray cat, howbout you explore worlds and get loot and weapons untill you are strong enough to beat lvl9 worlds, then you can easly do the becon quest. ow and if you have silver armour like i do it only does 10dmg to you on hit ;-)

 

Anyways, I am going to explain what is wrong here:

The game forces a time consuming and very boring tutorial on the player (2-4 hours of mining stuff for the beacon). Then drops a massive boss that most players can not fight (and get killed instantly because the beacon is near the start location). Which then forces players to move to another planet to find better gear. However when we return, the penguins have left and you have to do another round of mining.

And the game does a very very poor job at warning the player that the first few hours will no no scifi at all, you only mine shit with a pickaxe, for many hours. The website tells you it is scifi, but then keeps you away from it because the lead designer had this very stupid idea of FORCING players to mine COPPER AND IRON WITH A PICKAXE AFTER BEAMING DOWN FROM A SPACE SHIP WITH A WARP DRIVE.

No exploration, no sense of wonder, just pure low tech mining. And no escape from it either.

Locking the player completely out from sci fi tech for many hours and making him work for it by basically playing terraria. And I dont want to play Terraria 1 or Terraria 2, I want STARBOUND, traveling planets and enjoying sci fi.

 

Perhaps just let this speak for itself...

 

I traveled to other planets, and I found some interesting places, like an avian/egyptian tomb, an actual sci fi bunker (I looted some of the servers/shelves and a nice chair), but I still have to redo that stupid beacon material gathering.
Also the equipment on the ship is not really explained. I only was able to use seeds with the 3d printer. Is there any use for some of the shinier looking high end items you find in places? Because if that 3d printer thingy is only good for planting seeds I dont need it. I refuse to do regular tedious work in a videogame.

 

Exactly why everyone should just ignore this guy. Just an other whiny brat.

 

if you would do some research you would know you can put about annything that is placeable (if u can afford it) in the printer to make. i do wonder why you have to spend hours afer mining for about 2 hours i had a gold pickaxe and siver armour. and even now i go to desert planets mine the sand the ore drops in pile's and i have around 100 copper bars and same for iron its a breeze all i have to o now is explore planets untill i can take on treath lvl9 planets.

 

If you use the word "troll" or accuse me of not researching a product, then you lose the right to have polite conversation.

 

Btw how to put things into the printer? Opening the inventory after opening the printer does not work for me mosto f the time.
