Where/how to get Bamboo or bamboo shoots (FU)?

I'm looking for bamboo to make some Floran furniture, which can be had from pre-existing Floran villages found on forest worlds.

There is also FU's micro-bamboo that can be crafted from the greenhouse, but only after already finding a bamboo shoot. The places listed for micro-bamboo are: Ancient Glade, Black Slime Bog, Caniferous Forest, Flower Forest. I'm guessing that those are mini-biomes, but there's no pages describing where to find them (all red links).
