Where do you get drinks?

A lot of food recipes require certain drinks and the kitchen counter has no recipes for them nor have I found any of their blueprints after a lot of exploring.

I know some are sold on vendors but I think the only two I've ever seen are milk and water.

 

I've gotten whiskey from containers, but that's the only drink I've gotten.

 

I have found milk in a human base once, in the fridge or something, and I have found bottled water for sale from a merchant. But no, have found no way to make them...

 

Whiskey flasks are on Avian airships, milk can be found in fridges in the Apex villages and bottled water can be bought at a merchant. These are the only drinks I've seen in game so far.

 

Ug...so the only way to get milk for recipes is to go interstellar fridge-binging? That's so going to need to change. Maybe they can take a page from Haven & Hearth and make it so that you can "tame" wild alien critters in a manner similar to the pet system...only it would transform the critter from a bloodthirsty alien into a domesticated alien cow thing. In H&H, wild aurochs were tamed and turned into cows/bulls. Then you could milk them, kill them for their hides, etc. This would be a much welcome reprieve from having to choose between taking 50 shots to kill a mob with a steel bow or trotting back to the alpha sector where you can one-shot them again just to find leather. Although there isn't much point for leather after you've made the snow infantry set...would be nice to see these resources do something.
