Where can I get upgrades?

Me and my friends are currently on the Gamma Sector but we're at a halt. Everything is killing us. We all have Knight armour but guns that do 28 damage per shot.. We have no tech aswell..

My questions:

1) Where can I find the techs?
2) Where can I get better guns?
3) Where can I get better armour?

 

Later tiers aren't quit done yet, let alone balanced, to progress you'll have to wait for updates (the next one will completely remake the armor and damage system, should fix a lot of problems)
Mind you, the patch will wipe our characters.

Also techs are found in random chests (green ones) on almost every planets. You just have to be a bit lucky

 

Techs are found in randomly generated "High-tech" chests (Although they can have a non tech as well).
Although they can be found underground, they can be found in random chests along the surface layer as well as inside Apex Testing Labs.
These labs are an above ground structure with 2 floors, with a basement leading into a Lightning Maze obstacle course.
Although sometimes these testing grounds circle in on thmselves and fail to fully spawn the ending with a opening leading into dirt instead of the tech chest.

To get better guns, Find the highest level planet in your sector with a avian pirate ship spawned, Best melee - find highest level planet with Any agressive NPC spawned and manage a slow kill. Best armour--- Best of luck to you, havnt a clue.

However with the changes to damage, armour, survivability, level ranges and every who knows what other changes that will be happening shortly, these may change some.

 

I have found several high-tech chests and only one had a tech in it.

 

I have the same issue, at this point i have like 4 energy dash techs...

 

Weird, Ive opened 9 High-techs(Since thats how many I have on my ship)
and ive looted 8 techs, 3 butterfly boosts, 1 bubble boost, 1 morphball, 1 gravity bubble, 1 gravity neutraliser, 1 human mech and 1 silver pick.
Mind you 5 of those were cords with a tech chest that I found on the forums so those are semi cheated.
But im still 1 of 4 non tech. Ive ran 3 apex labs though with deadend generations and no loot

 

Not just green chests, really any chest that is not a "Old" version. i found mine in a "High-Tech" Blue/Neon chest.
