Where are the zombies? Wasn't there supposed to be zombies?

    Why is it always zombies? Cant we be a bit more imaginative.
    • apex brainwashed by the minicog
    • ape flue victims
    • nanite experiment gone wrong: they rebuild their hosts, which have gone quite insane with the centuries

    To be honest. All you'd need is a texture replace mod for every enemy in the game. It's really just all about the appearance of what you're fighting.

    Those are still zombies. They just have a different origin. Here's more:
    • Lobotomized cyborg slave warriors (there was an old Gamma World module that had a machine lopping off the heads of humanoids and giving them new robot heads)
    • Parasitic fungus zombies (a la O. unilateralis or The Last of Us)
    • Bioweapon gone wrong (28 days Later, or any other modern zombie plague fiction)

    • Floran bioterrorists. There's a certain Floran tribe that shared the traits of a cordyceps
    • Glitch that obtained a mentality of a zombie
    • USMC Prisoners became bioterrorists.

    You cannot deny zombies just because it is mainstream. Guns are mainstream, as well as swords and dungeons. Why not zombies? If you want to produce large hordes of scary monsters moving directly to player - zombies are the best choice.

    How can you even ask for such a thing? Haven't we had enough of them in this past decade? I honestly don't know a most overdone enemy in any game or movie, it just has to freaking stop. What fascination do people have with a slow, rotting dumb corpse with a taste for flesh? Give me one good reason why would they make our entire experience in Starbound any better other than just giving them a nifty come back. Lore-wise?

    Actually, don't answer because I just don't care. Enough is enough.

    No. More. Zombies.
