Perhaps when they make an accessories and include one that lets you breath underwater? Just at a guess.

Hyolts can ALREADY breath underwater from what i've heard..

Really? My breath meter seems to go down when I'm underwater as a Hyolotl. I recall Tiy saying that the Hyolotl racial armor would allow water breathing.

Can we get racial armors yet? Or are they not included?

Iirc, every tier has a racial armor. You should be able to get yours, with upgrades at each tier.

They probably do exist. Just at higher tiers/sectors. Just because planets arn't in the first few sectors doesn't mean they don't exist.

EDIT: C'mon guys, ocean biomes were in the biome showcase trailer thing. They exist. They're probably just rare/in later sectors that we havn't gotten to yet.

I think it's very likely for ocean biomes to get added. Hyolotl's don't have villages yet, which would most logically be either next to or in a sea/ocean.

Then again, the water physics might not support giant bodies of water yet. I haven't checked but maybe the code doesn't like giant bodies of water? Since they have to move around for every block you mine?

I'm more so into asking the question of when there will be some planets that are really unique and rare in general. Also I am severely opposed to the implementation of 'moons' at the moment.

woah woah WOAH! You guys just made me realize something! So, when you're in your ship, so can see planets that look like earth, you know 70% water, etc. But then once you get on the planet, you can do a full lap of it, and there's NO OCEANS?! :O
    WHAT MADNESS IS THIS?!

what do you have against moons?

From what I've seen, there already are ocean biomes. A bit of modification to the celestial.config file can make them appear randomly.

The fact a planet lacking atmosphere just makes you 'cold' when this is a fallacy for a multitude of reasons. First because no atmosphere means you'd suffocate or just plain die depending on how much a lack there is and two, because during the day it'd be scorching hot due to a lack of atmosphere to protect you from the rays and, well, the freezing at night would be cool.

Also native life would be...sparse...to say the last.

And if we want to be technical, a moon is a planetoid naturally orbiting another...but generally speaking calling a planetoid that doesn't orbit another a moon while others are 'jungle' makes little sense.

I mean, at that point it's nitpicking. It just bothers me that 'it's cold' is all they are atm. I am hoping it will change.

That's what their racial armor will allow them to do once the armor perks/mods are implemented.

If we're going to nitpick the term "moon", a "moon" is just another word for satellite. A satellite is any object which is in orbit of a planet. The biome "moon" is based on the composure of our own earth's moon, with the wellknown moondust and moonrock, but that has nothing to do with the atmosphere. An atmosphere is just a load of gas attracted to a celestial body because of it's gravity (caused by it's mass).

So really, the biome "moon" is just about the material found on the planet. Which makes sense.

    NITPICKING DONE!

Well yeah, that's kind of what I was saying, but if that's the case, where do planets without atmosphere belong? Also if a moon is just a satellite, then it would be pointless for it to be a biome since none of the planets orbit the other planets unless they all do in which case either they're all moons or none of them are.

Either way, I was just expecting something else. Things are subject to change, etc. Just an opinion!

Ocean biomes actually *do* exist. They are just disabled because they are very bugged. You can enable them with a little modding:

EDIT: this is not my picture. It is one I found on the Internet

Can you elaborate on what is bugged about them? Are there giant pockets of air or do they just crash the game when blocks are mined?
