So, I'm expecting the new update in the next week or two, going off Apes previous update intervals. We're now in September, and I can't help but feel the release announcement is VERY close. I'm hoping it's coming in the next update, but who knows. Anybody else embracing the hype?
I have a feeling that the release date won't be in this update, but the next one. Mainly because I'm sure this polishing and finalization CA is talking about will take some time.
I'm going to be the Negative Nancy and say December release. CA is too much of a perfectionist to release sooner. Something will always nag him to improve or "fix" it, so the only thing binding him is his promise to release this year.
I think he will tell us more about the state of the development and maybe even a release date, but I think at least a time span when to expect the game. Development of the gamecontent itself is finished, so I'm pretty sure he got a good idea how long it will take from now I just fear a bit that the multiplayer may cause unexpected problems/delays ...
Poor ape must stress a lot because he said that its going to be released this year and now we're already in September..
I hope that the next update is the release, it would be rare, but i cant wait to play this game. Also, do you think that CA will post update on september? We're already on september 10th
Probably not release but a date would be nice.. (or maybe a delay, ouch!) Theres some hints (or at least to me.. *shrug*) that the game is almost ready like in #27 he just said hes making sure its release ready, in #22 he said that hes not doing early access but that he could at this point (another small hint, if you ask me.. and now we're at #29 soon #30...) Soo who knows? Ape seems to stress easily and with the pressure (he did the mistake to say its going to be released this year, I think it was a mistake and I wouldnt have said anything if I were him and just go with a release date when its ready). +Hes working on this game alone, I hope things are going well for him! I'll buy the game when its ready and keep checking for updates every months even if its not this year, anyways! I hope it is ofc but if its not I understand and this game looks really worth the wait anyways! --- As for the announcement: Well I'd like 1month and then release or around that (ofc i wish it was NOW but I need to be realistic, haha).. I hope that he will do twitch every week to show us the singleplayer,multiplayer maybe like 1hour and 30mins? (1hour of gameplay, 30mins to stop playing and focusing on answering as much questions he can, that would be nice..) Maybe 1screenshot everyday until the release to drive us crazy? (no need details, just a daily screenshot until the release) Ofc, thats just my guesses and all but thats what I'd like to see.. (Theres 2parts of me: one half is hyped and the other half is scared to see update #30, lol)
Hahahaha, thats true!, i would love the see the game ready, but Ape is doing a great work tho, as you said, even if its not this year this game looks really worth the wait But hey, the only diference between you and me is that i check updates daily! not monthly, haha
Not really, I check updates daily too (I should have said check for the monthly updates, my bad...). I wouldnt be surprised if it was 20-30times everyday. lol
I think around 1.5 years here, I would have followed this game since the very beginning but I wasnt aware of it before.. ..Well on the other side it would have been 1.5 more year of torture so I guess its not a bad thing that I wasnt aware of it... I even check after an update the same day and days after if theres something new...
I've been following the game for maybe half a year now. Gotta say, if I had discovered this game a bit earlier, before all the graphic enhancements (Especially on characters), I wouldn't have been so interested. I think Chucklefish is awesome, because without them I wouldn't have learned about Stardew Valley. Same goes for Risk of Rain.
Well this year CA has only done his monthly updates on either a Monday or a Saturday...so maybe tomorrow?
I think hes trying to stretch his updates so it gives him time to work on the game (or release?) +There isnt much to talk about at this point except multiplayer.
I though we get Update 30 today... but now I'm rooting for tommorow Even there is no real content to talk about, he updated every ~6 weeks, if I remember right ... so, thats.. now >_<

I've sent a mail to ConcernedApe and he answered my question about the multiplayer. He said he would do a post about it soon so I guess it won't be this one but a next one. It means the release won't be so soon.
nice and ouch.. Nice because I'd like to hear more about multiplayer: Its one of the things im looking for the most in Stardew Valley.. Ouch because (I could be wrong ofc) it makes more sense to me to release a multiplayer update first and then announce a release date. In that case: We're still far from a release...
