When Starbound is released...

I am taking 2 sick days and going on a 48 hour bender of nothing but energy drinks(maybe a bit of food) and Starbound(Hopefully it's a Friday release then I can extend my bender to 72 hours).

Who is with me!

 

... Not me. Energy drinks make me nauseous....

 

I'll take two vacation days but energy drinks and no sleep would probably ruin the experience for me. I'm hoping for a Wednesday or Friday release. A Monday or Tuesday release would be cruel.

 

I'm sure there will be people in tier 10 gear within the first 24 hours... That's how it always worked in WoW...

 

Yeah, some folks are good at games, some are good at code

 

And some are good at ruining the experience for themselves or others by rushing to the end and then losing interest. I plan on taking it nice and slow exploring low level planets with that said play how you want. (Will be playing on ropleplay server as well)

 

I don't plan to bum rush the top tier of the game. I plan on playing it my way. I mean if I get to the top tier that's fine but I expect that's going to take me at least a few weeks. Still, no sleep and marathon gaming is how I love to play new games, but in all honesty I will probably pass out at hour 36. Man I wish I was young again and had no responsibilities but I digress, I am just so pumped for the release(like, I am sure, everyone is).

 

My wife and I game together while our daughter is asleep which severely limits playtime. So I understand responsibilities haha, but it'll be awesome once she can game with us.

 

I drank energy drinks all the way until Auguest. The day after the day that I went off them, I became overwhelmingly ill, and I could not get up. I am never touchign those stuff again until next Tuesday.

 

I will probably go with mountain dew or iced tea.

 

I will devise a cocktail specifically for StarBound, perfect it, and drink it exclusively during StarBound playtime.

 

For some reason they always release games on Tuesday here in the US. Here's hoping that Starbound releases on a Friday, whenever that may be

But I'm definitely going to play lots of it ^.^

How did this become a thread about drinking things?
Anyway I don't know what I'll be doing because I don't know when the release date is... I could be fighting zombies at the time.

 

I was never able to play games for super-duper extended periods of time (longest run being around 9 hours straight), but if I'm drinking anything, it's gonna be some good ol' fashioned chocolate milk.

 

Energy drinks don't have an affect on me

 

I find when I take days off like that my entire regimen is thrown off and my entire way of life descends into chaos.

I'll do small (but intense) doses when I can afford the time.

 

I want to play on an RP server too, unfortunately those almost ALWAYS devolve into bullshit and grief

 

I will be roleplaying as well. I'm gonna smuggle your sh*t.

Or sell to you. Depends on how many credits you're shelling.

 

It is going to take a lot of organization create this sort of living Universe that I hear a lot of people wanting to play in. If you are wanting to play this way then I think the best way would be to start trying to get this all set up now. Get a website, have 'citizens' sign up and a localized community forum. Discuss your main centralized body of government and other details. (you'll need a government and people who want to play straight and narrow in order to have people smuggling and stuff like that.)

I say all that just to give you an idea of what I think it will take to generate this sort of immersive Universe with living entities. An RP server that will be fun to play on will be one that is extremely well structured and organized.
