When does it stop to works likes generaters... extracters.. centrifuges..?

I mean what happens if i went to the ship , or other planets in the same solar system, or other solar systems while my objects are on the planet
And then what about the opposite? ? What happens if i went to the planet while my objects are on my ship like sloar panels . Does it still working??
