They put it in Terraria, I don't see why they can't have it in here too.

Maybe you should go play Terraria if you want an experience like Terraria.

I don't think they are. The 'Tech' is their magic equivalent

    I agree ^^

Eh.. Terraria had a more Mystic and magical sense to it though..

    Starbound is futuristic and space-exploring.

Maybe some kind of Sci-fi magic, like telekinetic or something? But outright magic seems a bit out of place..

Because it's a more "scientific" game.

Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic.

No trolling please. If you don't like it just don't post. Don't you have anything better to do?

When are they adding the ability to clip under bridges?

They added it in Big Rigs, I can't see why we can't have it here too.

Starbound is a more science-oriented game. I think the devs have stated that there won't be any magic. Sorry :(

They did say that advanced science can be indistinguishable between magic, though :p

    EDIT: Damnit, beat by RizzRustbolt.

Wow. Could you guys just stop? What about a simple "I dont think it fits" ?
I think it would be nice to have magic...even though it might feel out of place.

Pfft, the wizard hat already gives you the power to look awesome. How much more magic do you need?

Terraria magic was just items that shot laserballs anyway. Just wait for plasma cannons and shyt.

There's a mod on the Nexus that adds in staves, robes and spells but it's not quite finished yet.
I wouldn't mind seeing "Magic" in the sense that the techs are made more offensive. Such as having a telekinetic blast tech, or one that coats you in a force field of fire to where running into enemies damaged them.
Heck, even just magical magic would be cool with me. I don't need it to enjoy the game, but it'd be interesting.

    Edit:
This would be pretty badass, and still fits in with both "magic" and the technology of the time.
