1. Glitch! I also like the Avian and Floran, but Glitch is my favourite.
2. I don't like to farm if I don't have to and I get mad easily. I'll probably go slow and easy.

I like finding the different structures in the game. I hope as time goes on Chucklefish becomes more creative with them.

So far I like the volcanic biome the best and I do plan to find a large planet and build it up at some point. Once I can be sure there will be no more wipes

This question will be depending on the repetitiveness and the ability to surprise.

I would prefer ranged if it were better than now, but melee as it is now is far superior.

I will keep a main base and just set up basic needs elsewhere. I am still looking for a pine biome, as in the earlier beta screenshot.

I'm a pretty chill player and just go where the RNG takes me.

Big time treasure hunter. But I'll also go way out of the way to mine one ore of copper.

I'm not opposed to playing with others, but I'll mostly fly solo.

I could easily see sinking over 200 hours into this game.

I greatly prefer 2 handed melee weapons.

Multiple small mini-camps with my ship acting as my main base.

 

1. Human. If my sources are correct human armour bonuses will give more inventory. More inventory = more loot. More loot = more w00t.

2. Killing. Probably just going to bumrush through the alpha sector and build on my arsenal before a rinse and repeat with the other bosses THEN I'll build on a planet I find I enjoy.

3. I enjoy exploring the various planets and seeing if there's anything of worth before moving onto the next one. With certain tech combinations this is rather quick. In the event I find a stronghold I generally enjoy slaughtering everything inside and pinching their furniture because heck, I'm a hoarder at heart. When mining and building comes into play, well I do enjoy them too. I like making super-secret bases to stash my goodies.

4. I generally prefer to solo but if I find people that are casual and laid-back then let's go!

5. No doubt into the 300+ hours mark at LEAST. I love these kinds of games.

6. I've quite enjoyed meleeing with pulse jump and dash techs, makes me feel like a gundam, gracefully zipping about slashing everything to hell. I range if I have to but that generally isn't often.

7. I'd like to find myself a biome as close to normal as I can, I'd like to get a sort of quaint, medieval theme going for my home planet, whilst my ship will be done up like Forward Unto Dawn. Hoo-rah.

 

1. Glitch. Medieval robots are awesome, though I'll probably have a Hylotyl too. It was a toss up; I like both themes. I also like Avian for their slow fall effect and Aztec theme, but I don't like their appearance as much.
2. Mine my way to success, rush through the crafting tiers. Not necessarily into danger, I'm going to fully gear myself for each tier and adequately prepare for each boss, but not going to spend a whole lot of time on my main base or exploring until I reach endgame.
3. Mining gets boring, sure, then I take a break. I passively seek treasure, though I won't go exploring beyond my goal of the next tier until endgame. (I fully explore and loot any dungeon I find though! Exciting!)
4. Yep. My brother made a small friends-and-family server.
5. It'll vary on work hours, but on a weekend probably mostly all day.
6. Melee, a sword in each hand. And, not all, just those I come across when I'm adequately geared or those I can't get away from if I'm not.
7. I'll use my ship for most of my base-y needs, but I'll have a base on my homeworld largely for storage.

 

Also Avians are Assholes to Hylotls, considering they used them as sacrifices I also like Hylotls very much.

I'm fond of Floran and Hylotl with Avian and Glitch coming in as secondary choices. Not really interested in the Humans or Apex. I do want a Novakid character.

My first character is probably going to be a merciless Floran huntress.

Oh, quite a few. I actually want to beat this game. So...forever hours?

I like melee, I'm pretty terrible at Ranged.

I'll probably wander. I haven't found a Main base that suits me yet. I really like forest biomes.

Apex, just because I like the references to Big Brother and Apex are just awesome. Highly intelligent Ape people focused on Technological advancements.

Build an awesome Asteroid base and try to get all that spiffy Scientist clothing.

Base builder, just because it can open so many great RP lines for you, which leads in to my enjoyment of RPing.

Other people on any dedicated RP server.

Until I get bored and then some.

Ranged, preferably with a gun and shield. I will start fighting every enemy once I get a nice pistol and can take them out, along with some armor of course.

One "Main" base in an Asteroid field just because it is secluded and every evil adventurous scientist needs one.

6. I am completely passive, due to waiting for a patch.

--I must say, the Glitch so far is my favorite. Reminds me of something along the lines of Battlestar.
Would probably go Human otherwise. The other races seem unappealing.

--Ill be a lone Ranger. Patrolling the Galaxy for Evil and unrest while looting everything possible!

-My first play through, I had a main base. But ill just use my ship in the future. And have storage hubs and farms on the ground. I like all biomes. My current home setting gets meteor showers!

1: I play as an avian primarily, although in my head I take liberties on the avian's main quest and believe my character is searching for spirituality while believing the bigoted attitudes of her homeland are unjustified. The race that appeals to me the least are humans because they're boring and I am a huge misanthrope who does not like humanity and am glad some giant rule34 monster destroyed their home. Other races that interest me in this order are: Novakid, hylotl, and floran, although the latter is mostly for their appearance and because Greenfinger amuses me. Hylotls suit me best considering my favorite theme in cartoons or books is about saving nature, usually from evil humans.

2: I played my first character primarily to gauge my interest in the game. My initial interest came from the promise that it wasn't going to be like Terraria and the races and general lore of the universe appealed to me a lot, then someone bought me a key when they learned I read the entire Avian PDF file because they figured that was sufficient interest. I've made a couple of other characters but they were just to experiment with individual mechanics and mods. Now I'm playing as another Avian and have decided to try things I didn't do before like farm and use mods in a regular playthrough.

3: I'd say my favorite activity is planetary surveys. I like to explore the surface of planets, finding chests, villages, books, merchants, and seeing how structures generate. I'm not a huge fan of mining, primarily because of how desolate the underground world is. If underground biomes were ever added, along with civilizations that lived underground, I'd care more. I also like to build, although I have not done much of it outside making my ship look nice due to the nomadic nature of my original character.

4: This is a big one for me. Originally, I thought I'd only play the game on multiplayer, but most of my first character was spent on singleplayer. Now, I intend to play this new character on my friend's small server and I want to do a lot more building and co-op stuff. So far, I'm enjoying both aspects of the game. As to whether or not I'll play on a big server; that is a definite no. Not only do I distrust people and wholly expect large servers to be full of griefers, gankers, and trolls, but I also don't like being in an area with lots of people without knowing at least a few of them and I'm not very social outside of forums so it is wholly unappealing to me. I do like playing on different servers, provided I at least meet the admin and regs and talk to them.

5: So far I've logged 98 hours into the game, and I can see it being a lasting experience for me even though I will most likely play it for a few weeks and put it down for a few months but that's just how I play games. Minecraft has been a game I have continued to pick up for the 4 years that I've owned it, and I can easily see this being one of those games.

6: I play a pacifist, I fight when threatened or for food, I rarely, but usually never, attack passive creatures and I would prefer a way to befriend the wildlife instead of constantly fighting them. As to the technical side of it, combat doesn't interest me in games, bosses even less so. I like that I can just bunker myself in and get the boss fights over with relatively fast, except for the bone dragon that has far too much health. I prefer ranged weapons and am fond of the bows, although I wish there were more tiers. My style of combat is to avoid getting hit as much as possible and kill something before it has a chance to reach me until around tier 8 or so when I just tank everything because I can.

7: I am nomadic in my playstyle of most sandbox games which is fairly indicative of my exploratory nature, but I will most likely use the custom ship mod for my main base and I will probably build all kinds of smaller ones. My favorite biomes are the ones that pertain to flora or are the more whimsical of the biomes. I love the crystal trees, giant mushrooms, strange tentacle planets, creepy eye biomes, and generally, things that feel more like a fantasy game than a sci-fi one. I only wish there were a cloud biome...

 

1. Human - I always choose Human over every other race in a game because it just feels... "right".
2 - 3. I always try to keep the fun of a game going on for as long as possible before I have to actually make progress. Progress means getting closer to the end, and I'm not in a rush for that... I would usually gather a bunch of appealing blocks to build my base with.
4. Both alone and with friends. But only on my own private server with people I trust so I never have to worry about annoyances like chat flooding, hacking, or crashes.
5. Depends on 2 - 3.
6. If I'm alone, melee and range. If I'm on a team, just ranged. I only fight enemies that attack me unless I'm looking for rare drops or pixels.
7. One main base: my ship, fully changeable in size and style because of a ship mod.

Human, atleast on my first try. I tend to try to play as myself if i was in that situation. Other race really don't appeal to me.

I like to build, mine, hunt, kill. All for the purpose of advancing and always be better.

Play solo sometime, but prefer to play in a larger server. As long as there is some protection from griefers. Don't mind pvp though.

A lot. Just bought a pretty good gaming laptop. So, anywhere and as much as I can.

Range most of the time. But I can handle myself in a knife fight. And I don't backdown from a fight, which gets me in trouble a lot.

I'd like to have a bunch of smaller base. My main base would be my ship which would have most of the higher tier crafting station.

- Well I put over 500 hours in DOTA2 when I was in love with that, and I love this more!

I rushed through and then did a lot of farming, I wanted to have a home base so I had somewhere to keep everything

I want to take over an entire planet, build a rail system underground covering the whole planet and have various towers and buildings scattered throughout, for mining I love the snow planets makes getting to the ore much easier for my home base I like the forest or jungle planets.

Who in their right mind would ever dismiss how incredibly cute they are, and how everything they say is

I want all games like this to last me as long as they possibly can. I dislike progressing too quickly. In fact, I'd rather
a game like this would innovate in a way that made infinite progression possible, but alas, we'll have to wait ;D
I think I'll be exploring a lot while trying to immerse in the world, building stuff and all that.
...Of course there'll be plenty of murder to be had, too, but you know, can't bee too quick about it..
(otherwise they won't feel it at all..)

Well, doing monotonous things is bound to get boring eventually. That said, mining in itself isn't the most exciting of things,
but the way the terrain forms, the caves span, the monsters change, the potential to find something completely new!
...That's what makes it exciting. Again, up to developers, but we'll see. I like mining, but it's only a means to an end.
IF mining is all it is, that is.

I'm going to jam out with two friends a little bit at least. I'm not huge on multiplayer in any given game,
but I might enjoy it for a while. I don't like things that diminish immersion, and multiplayer tends to be one.
This is also why I never check the wiki. Knowing all about the world you live in makes life pointless.

5. How many hours do you think you're going to play?
That's a difficult question. My most played game on Steam is 114 hours or so, Terraria. I'd like to think
this game far surpasses the POTENTIAL of that game, because so far the feel of it is something I
seem to enjoy more than Terraria's initially. Well see. I hope I never get tired of this. I hope the developers
are innovative enough to make that be easier ^^

I prefer a mix of all. I only bought the game three days ago, but so far I've been solely relying on my hunting knives
and hunting bow. I like the skill that's needed to fight with the bow, but a tangible approach is something I also enjoy.
Fighting every enemy... This is something I have to think about: If I fought every enemy, that would mean I were having
no challenge with the game. I like challenge, that's what makes a game retain its charm; the NEED to survive. Survival
should be... an actual need. I have 200 steaks in my inventory. This makes the hunger system completely pointless.

I like to think that I'd fight all enemies, unless I knew I was going to die.

Hmm... I really, really like building. I guess I'd make multiple bases, some big, some small. Very cool stuff.
I don't know much about biomes (at all), so you know, "we'll see".
