1. Glitch, I'm a robot fan. Florans look pretty cool though and I like the oriental theme of the Hylotl.
2. Waste time looking for things I don't need, but try to run ahead when I can.
3. I'm not a fan of mining unless I terribly need it, I'm a lazy git so I prefer to loot and pillage. I like discovering new places.
4. Not sure, maybe my friends if that.
5. I have 250+ hours on Terraria, it's easy to say I'm gonna be burning a lot of time on this.
6. I'm an opportunistic jack-of-all-trades. Exploit any opportunity to get cheap shots, and take them on with anything I feel like.
7. I prefer to have one main base but it'd be impractical to not have smaller bases as well.

 

1. Human, one of the only creature I can barely relate to, and the most boring choice to make.
2. I see what the world has to offer me and take in what I can from it.
3. Build my own home and workshop, and lab space, and survive, ocasonaly exploring the local system to find what it has to offer, some times I like to find old abandon installations and rip it off for parts back home, as mementos or junk collecting.
4. Maybe a Small Public serve, defiantly going to try and LAN it.
5. How long until the game puts a game over screen in my face?

1. Definitly Apex... Backgroundstory is real cool, and i like the high tech style! (Found severals "Bases" from them, all looking awesome!)
2. Hard to tell, sometimes just exploring a planet on the surface, killing the monsters and taking every ore, coal, wood and fruits i can find, sometimes digging deeper for the real stuff
3. At the start mining, farming and searching for enemy bases (found a apex laboratory, avian flying pirateship and glitch castle so far), than preparing the good gear but finally i will build
my own little home and if the make it true that you can spawn villagers for the enviroment i will build maybe a whole city on a planet
4. Joining a friend on a private server and also on an role play server with lots of people
5. Could be my most played game, and terraria if i get it in a sale (like it too). Will be kinda hard cause got one with over 900 hours but thats beatable. This game has too many possibilitys.

Oh my word, I am so excited to play as the Novakid. Rough, gruff, lewd space cowboys and cowgirls made of nuclear furnace gas? Count me in.

I've already had quite a row adventuring in the beta so far. Typically I focus on tech development, trying to improve as quickly as possible to the highest tier available.

I am a treasure hunter, I scour worlds for civilizations to meet and occasionally plunder... but I always look forward to the next big dig as well!

I already play with other people~ It's a grand way to play.

5. How many hours do you think you're going to play?
The clock is still going at fourty plus hours.

Ranged, preferably with a rifle. And yes, unless I have the blink tech, everything dies.

My play style shifts. In the beginning I focus on a heavily stocked ship, utilizing planets as resource pools to feed and expand my adventure and equipment.
In the higher tiers, especially in X, I tend to start to form a base and fill it with people. My adventure slows down, and my focus turns towards the planet rather than my ship.

I like being an Apex because I like monkeys as they relate to humans and are much stronger because of their muscle mass compare to humans.

I like farming very much, as I like watching my plants grow happily in a beautiful garden that took alot of effort to make. I think I would make so beautiful houses and home designs then move on to fighting monsters.

Personally I love to build, discovery is fun too, but mining just really bores me in 2D games because of its simplicity in techniques to gather ores.

I think so, I am going to recommend this game to my friends, I prefer being in a small server with people whom I know because it is much easier to communicate and we are comfortable with each other.

Maybe about 250 hours?

I like combat in melee because I think of brave sword fighters when I have to survive enemy encounters. If there are too many of the same enemy it will just be annoying imo.

I am most likely going to explore some galaxies and make multiple beautiful houses. I like forest/jungle biomes because of the nature, but I do hate bugs/insects they creep me out somehow....

This plays in my head when she's done raiding apex labs, and fixing the damn engines...Again

Floran! I'm starting with Floran because the look, the idea of a plant-based being.. it just appeals to the medieval fantasy lover in me. Though if you had elves or dwarves, I'd be torn. Though I'm not sure about the idea of them being unisex.

I'd like to rush to more dangerous areas, but can't seem to get out of threat level 1 areas. Fuel is hard to come by and progress is... slow. Maybe because I'm afraid to dig deeper for fear of ruining the beauty of the area.. and because controls tend to stick and I end up walking into a monster in front of me long after I let up the move key. lol. I enjoy the progress, even if it's coming at a painful slow pace.

See above. I also show it off to my niece and nephew.

Would probably prefer small groups. Big means more things can go wrong, more ores will be taken.. I'm not too keen on hopping often.

homg. A lot.

So far it's melee, but only because the bows seem underpowered. I prefer ranged but don't like the typical nerfing bows in games because balance. A person who knows how to use bows can still inflict some damage.

That's an idea. If the game had a sort of 'bookmarking' system, it'd be easier to keep up with seperate bases, but as it seems right now, it's simply a waste of fuel, which is precious in my current area in the progress, as I only ever seem to have enough for one jump.

Mining only what you need? I always like to have extra left over and even then always seem to mine only "what I need". lol
Though what do you mean about Space Samurai? They have special abilities?

 

Well their race resembles much of a Samurai. The Armor looks alot like a Samurai Armor and the weapons you build resemble a Katana or Wakizashi.
And of course. I also farm minerals when Im on a Planet but most time im just adventuring over the Planet Surface and look for something to explore.

Glitch - because "Destroy all Humans"
I like the idea of a character that immitates a blending between Cylon and Bender from Futurama.
After I have acquired the goods or items from friendlies, I will not only steal and destroy their village.
I will kill them.
All of them.

I have noticed that mixing between surface skimming and deep mining works best. There is no peace. On that note.
I like to get what I need as soon as possible to advance to the next stage of the game.

Mining is fun, but I like exploring deep caves and dungeons. I hope mining only constitutes about 20-30% of time spent in the game.

I plan on playing on my own server that I will host. It will be on 24/7, that way any friends who have time will log onto the vent server and play.

5. How many hours do you think you're going to play?
An average of about 1-2 hours a day.

I prefer melee. I like to get up close and personal.

My ship will be my base until I reach end game. Once I have then I will construct my own base on a world. Until then, the mission is to beat the game.
So far i enjoy the jungle biome the most. It has a lot going on, and I like a world that is literally filled to the brim.

Probably Human for immersion purposes, although a Glitch would probably be my second choice. Honestly, I haven't read any of the lore about these characters, so am going purely on looks initially.

Mine, build, and explore. That's my thing...

I do enjoy mining, as long as it's not the main focus. But mining now and then is very relaxing, which is I play games... to relax and unwind. Although mostly I just enjoy exploring and building.

Never. I despise playing with other people. I am surrounded by people each and every day, for hours on end. When I play a game, it's to relax, unwind, and get away from other people. The few times I've tried playing with other people, they have completely ruined my gaming experience.

Probably really only on weekends since that's really the only time I have for gaming anymore.

I prefer ranged, but only if it's good ranged combat. I'm not really much of a twitch player, and am not really very good at combat because I'm just not that into combat.

One main base with smaller outposts. As far as which biome? I dunno, I have no idea what the range of biomes is.

 

First char was a glitch called Irony ( because its a robot in a medievil setting also iron huehue)
Running around in towns and throw sand at people, everything was fine until the whipe nation attacked.

Now its a male floran named Eduardo Fabulous ( they look so smashing)
The whole point is to do whatever it takes to get clothes. Buying 1 of each if i dont have it also very important: you have to imagine words like glitter smashing and amazing in a spanish accent everytime he jumps.

 

1. Floran. I love nature and the colour green, plus their primitive nature appeals to me. I do so very want a Novakid though. I'm a pyro
2. I like to take my time and enjoy the scenery of the planets, probably sticking closer to the top layer until I really need to mine.
3. I enjoy building, and treasure hunting is fun. I also just like finding the civil towns and villages. It makes the game feel more alive to have NPCs roaming around.
4. We own our own server, and everyone we've gotten on that is lovely. Prior to that, I played with my boyfriend and best friend.
5. My life is consumed.
6. This is actually the first game I've ever preferred two0handed melee weapons.

Apex for sure, I like their background (I love 1984 and dystopic settings in general), the fact they are the most technologicaly advanced race despite their primitive look. My second choice would be an Hylotl for their cool and peaceful background.

Hanging around on my home planet for a while, going deep for crystal and stuff most likely. Then explore a couple of planets of sector alpha (killing any bastard in my way... including a lot of Florans I suppose) and head to gamma.

I love exploring, especially underground and raid bases/camps.

Yup, with my brother mostly. Private server

Dunno... Hopefully hundreds!

I'm rather flexible. Melee most of the time (especially in confined space) but ranged against dangerous monsters.

Probably one base on each planet visited (that could just be a shack if not on my home planet) and definitely a big mobile base in my spaceship! So far I really enjoy the Grassland biome!

Rush through the tech tree while stocking up on bandages to go explore some hardcore worlds

I love finding the unique locations on every world with all the NPCs. Destroying all the enemies to find treasure is especially fun with a group of friends .

I'll try to run a small server myself for a couple people that I play with. If it doesn't work out, I'll probably end up going to a small community premium server instead.

Depends on exciting mods, and if the game keeps getting updates as well as new content. Hopefully for years to come

As long range as possible. I just wish I could get other things from monsters besides meat and leather when killing with a bow.

If ships ever get expanded, my main base will definitely be there. I'll have small crafting outposts on planets to keep everything in check. Maybe I'll find a good world and build some cool stuff eventually...

 

1. Human or Glitch as they seem to interest me the most, or at least are the ones that don't have too annoying sound sets.

2. My character will be a gatherer. That is to say, I will be taking my time, exploring and hunting for loot.

3. I like exploring and mining. While I'm not opposed to stealing or looting from villages I've discovered, I will not be killing any villagers.

4. If I get a lan set up, I'll play with my grandson. Otherwise, I'll find a small sever to play on..

5. Well over 100+

6. Before the last wipe, I really enjoyed using a one-handed sword and a pistol at the same time. Shoot at range and finish them off with melee.

7. Main base probably in a forest biome.

 

I'm just going to straight up answer the first seven questions... Uhh... Bullets? presented.

1: When they become available, I'll probably play a Novekid. The name "Sunny Brightside" would only be fitting of such. Second would be Floran, then Glitch, the Avian, Hylotl, Apex and finally Human. I'm already a human, why would I want to play one in a game with options?

2: Ahhhahahaha... First character? Fail, delete, restart. I can NEVER stick to one character. It's an impossibility for me, but things would be slow and steady, I'd do all the exploring with as little digging as possible (only to get to other areas)

3: Explore, Explore, Explore. Dig through the caves, find all the easy to get materials, and just explore the cavernous expanses of the underworld to my hearts content. In game, I've already come across a city of tiny houses, and a long forgotten Apex labratory sitting on the precipace of a dirt cavern biome and a slime biome. I've been to a living planet, with caverns made of flesh and bone, and have found eyeball trees and melons that seem to stare into my soul. I LOVE Exploring. Finding treasure, combat, adventure, and just seeing the sights!

4: I plan to play with my friends when I play with other people, would only make sense that I'm not the ONLY one in the universe with some sort of conscious telling me to do something other then run around in a panic.

5: Lots... Lots and lots... Lots upon lots upon lots. I've already clocked a ton, may as well clock more! Especially since this game is so much bigger then Terraria (a game that I've clocked 500+ hours on), I don't see me not playing this when I get bored.

6: Depends on the character and if I feel like having a challenge. Typically I'll use whatever I can, or whatever is better. I'll probably go with guns and ranged to begin with, since this is supposed to be a space-fantasy type game, so it seems stupid to use a sword, but I'll probably use melee weapons on my Floran's and Glitch's, just to fit with the theme of those races. And when it comes to enemies, kill those that attack me first, get revenge on those that killed me, that's the Floran way... Well, it would seem that would be the floran way.

7: Probably one main base per planet... I'll keep my stuff to a minimum so I can easily move from planet to planet. And when it comes to biomes... Heck, so long as it's interesting and different, I'll more then likely enjoy it.
