First of all Hi, this is my first post lol.

1. Still can't decide which race, I'm lost between Nova Kid, Apex, Humans and Florans.
2. Aways looking beyond and following the danger
3. Crafting, Explore, Loot Hunt and of course cut things with an axe.
4. Small group of friends and Don't have a clue about the server size.
5. Loads? Probably some hundreds/thousands =P
6. Melee at heart. Who doesn't like to chop things apart?
7. I guess a HUGE main base. Jungle biomes are aways the best.

 

1. What race are you going to play, and why? Do any of the races just not appeal to you at all?

• Probably a Novakid. Was inspired by that illustration to become a bandit outlaw Novakid on the hunt for treasure just for the heck of it. If not that, then a Hylotl. One, because I'm known as the fish lady by my friends, and two, I'm Asian.

2. What are your plans for your first character? Rush through to the highest danger levels? Be a peaceful farmer?

• Depends. If my first character isn't the Novakid bandit, then I'll probably just do whatever. Otherwise, I'd probably jump around from planet to planet since that's the ~*~bandit life~*~. I want to actually have a story for the novakid and illustrate some of the cool adventures my friends will have. AYE, A LIFE OF LOOTING AND PLUNDER AND PILLAGING FOR ME.

3. What do you like to do in the game? Is mining something that never gets boring to you? Are you a treasure hunter?

• I like to fight. I like to get treasure. I'm not too keen on building or gather resources or those kinds of mindless tasks ( although when I do build things everything has got to be perfect. ). I also like lore and stuff. heh.

4. Are you going to play with other people? If so, with friends or on a big/small public server?

• With friends. I always play games like this with friends. It's just more fun for me.

5. How many hours do you think you're going to play?

• Many hours later...... But uh, probably a lot still. I played a lot of hours in Terraria ( more than Steam shows ) with friends.

6. What combat style do you prefer? Melee, Ranged, etc. Will you fight every enemy you come across?

• Ehhhh. I guess it depends. I like ranged because of the safety of the distance but melee's always fun with the close combat and whatnot. Probably won't try to fight every enemy but still, I like to fight things.

7. Are you going to have one "Main" base, multiple smaller bases or just wander around? What biome do you think you'll enjoy the most?

• My bandit will probably wander around as life takes him; if not my bandit, then I'll probably tag along with my friends in whatever ventures they have.

 

1. I'm going to play the beta as a Hylotl, I love their Japanese aesthetic. Alpha, a Novakid because they're simply fantastic looking and their lore is cool, I like their volatile nature and history.
2. I'll probably go at it with a xenobiologist approach, slowly but surely moving from planet to planet building small bases, and mining a few resources, but mostly classifying/studying alien species.
3. Everything appeals to me in sandboxes, sometimes I'll play house and work on pure home like aesthetics, sometimes I'll be digging to the cores of planets for no reason, sometimes I'll be hunting for the biggest predators with the best fight in them.
4. For the most part I'll be playing on a private server with friends, I'll likely end up venturing into public ones when enough time has passed for fantastic worlds to have been built.
5. Just silly amounts of time. Games I love get more face time than people I love haha.
6. I'm versatile, pretty much whatever works best is what I'll use, I prefer ranged if the controls are nicely done. I'll probably kill at least one of everything I come across, but the good natured ones I'll not needlessly slaughter.
7. Probably many smaller bases, several larger ones in places I really like that I will return to from time to time.

 

1. I would like to be a Novakid because I like their appearance and the way they look like walking flames of colorful fire ready to burn down anything in their way, I do not want to be a Floran they look weird and a bit on the girly side
2. I would like to begin in a world about 2 or 3 levels higher than me to give me a feeling of being alert and the importance of shelter and one wrong look at a creature and you are dead and I would build a nice log house then start mining.
3.I would roam looting some people while looking for treasure and then go mining and make a huge underground complex for a base under my log house.
4.If anyone would like to join me go ahead I could probably get a server but I would prefer 1-2 people or 4 people for a 2v2 battle/survival.
5.Work days 6-7 hours weekends until I can't keep my eyes open which would mean about 50 hours a week if I play non-stop when I get home otherwise 30-40 hours.
6.Mostly ranged and usually if it doesn't kill me first.
7.One main underground or underwater complex with smaller sub bases with certain functions and if they add shipwrecks underwater the ocean and woodland biome would be most enjoyable.

 

QUE MUSIC FOR THE RECURRING THEME

1A) Human, as always. Because what better faction to play a sneering imperialist, conquering new lands and liberating the oppressed people of the apex. (whether they want to be liberated or not)
2. What are your plans for your first character? Rush through to the highest danger levels? Be a peaceful farmer?
2A) To build the foundations of the Terran Empire, and ravage the worlds of all their resources except that of the home world and special colony worlds (Main base and outposts to avoid boring travel for too long of a distance.)
3. What do you like to do in the game? Is mining something that never gets boring to you? Are you a treasure hunter?
3A) Mining never gets boring because that's the best way to ravage a world. Just going to carve great big chasms and quarry's across the face of entire planets. But otherwise yeah, ravage worlds and imperialize EVERYTHING and EVERYONE.
4. Are you going to play with other people? If so, with friends or on a big/small public server?
4A) Yes, probably, assuming we can do a private server via Hamachi or such. Otherwise alone.
5. How many hours do you think you're going to play?
5A) as many as I have put into Terraria, maybe more, I have to actually ravage a world here :/
6. What combat style do you prefer? Melee, Ranged, etc. Will you fight every enemy you come across?
6A) Ranged, I don't want these filthy savages to touch my freshly ironed uniform! and to be sure they don't I will butcher anything that doesn't live in a building and show signs of cooperative sentience.
7. Are you going to have one "Main" base, multiple smaller bases or just wander around? What biome do you think you'll enjoy the most?
7A) Probably going to wander around for a while, climbing a few tiers until I have some appropriate building mats, then I'll re-purpose a large Terran facility such as a prison or such structure and turn it into my fortress. After establishing a main base there will be smaller outposts for every Terran structure I capture.
Terran structures only, the rest get burned to the ground, except for apex, those get "liberated" and any uncooperative inhabitants get put through the "re-education facility" and accepted into the new Terran Empire

To summarize it.
Complete and utter disregard to most environments, some parks may be established, but for the most part I'll be exploding planets and making them uninhabitable.
Hostility to most foreign governments, but not people. Just governments, so naturally the competing imperialist nation would have to be eradicated (Apex) and the remains absorbed. I'll pretend to not know of the other beings but avians would be seen as okay while florans are "savages"

 

I feel like we would end up going to war. And it would be GLORIOUS!

1. Probably the fish folk. no real reason but the oriental cloths are nice
2. probably attempt everything, so take it slow
3. I'll attempt everything, as I said before, But I'm mostly a builder. and an accidental hoarder.
4. Maybe, finding good servers in Australia is hard, for a tiny bit easier. on that note any Auzy here that have/will have maybe message me?
5. few days? then coming back to it, most of my days I'm on youtube ^..^
6. melee is fun, but I always like to have both, if I can dual, hells yes. as for fighting, if it hits me I hit it.
7. depends on the game really, or the size of the inventory, I will probably have a main base though. I do get easily lost however.

Human at first but I will most likely play them all at some point. I almost always choose human when I have the option.

Explore as much as possible while not getting killed!

I enjoy every aspect of these style games. Mining, treasure hunting, base building etc.

Friends mostly. Might pop on to a big server.

Lots most likely.

One big base with a few outposts as needed.

 

1. I think I will create a Human first and a Floran after that. I just like pretty girls and the other female races don't look that good
2. I think I will take it easy, make a base, get used to the game, go caving/exploring, and once I feel comfortable (= having some good weapons and armour) I will travel to other planets and go multiplayer

6. I like melee. Is there any magic involved in Starbound? Haven't seen any of that yet.

Slow and steady, while handing out butt-kickings where needed

Do enjoy mining rare stuff but also love me a bit of treausre hunting!

Easy at the start, couple of hours, break then repeat till my butt goes to sleep

Straight up brawler/Melee, some slicey slicey with a sharp sword!

One central base, probably a few smaller Safe outposts/crafting stations!

2. So So, play with calm but getting in danger

5. Like terraria or minecraft, I love sandbox games... infinite options.

I am planning to explore the game for a bit. Doing a bit of exploring, doing a bit of building, trying out combat. I will try out all the features that the game, for now the beta, has to offer. The game is way too unstable in the beginning anyway to start on something big and serious (I notice people here seem to forget that saves can be corrupted easily at this beta phase), so I better try all the features and report bugs whenever I enounter one.

Treasure hunting is fun, but not something that keeps me going on for hours. I rather expand my base or build massive structures. Mining gets really boring after a certain amount of time. It is too repetitive for me and I want to see the sun again after hours of shafting and mining.

4. Are you going to play with other people? If so, with friends or on a big/small public server?
Probably I will mess around with friends on a small server, especially on Friday evenings and during the weekend. I prefer Single Player though. I rather shape a world of my own to my own liking without other people messing around with that. Maybe it is because my friends are not really that creative in building or whatsoever.

I will break my Terraria record. 350 hours of gameplay, that is.

6. What combat style do you prefer? Melee, Ranged, etc. Will you fight every enemy you come across?
For a long time I have always preferred Melee. However, I have been trying out multiple combat styles over the past few months on different games. I might be creating multiple characters for different combat styles.

7. Are you going to have one "Main" base, multiple smaller bases or just wander around? What biome do you think you'll enjoy the most?
I will have both a main base and smaller bases. I will create a main base on a peaceful world, preferred on a low-level planet, and smaller bases on other planets I use for resources, treasure hunting etc. Maybe I will also create a character that does exploring only, without having an actual base.
As for biomes, I am not sure. There are many different biomes and I do not really have a prefferance at the moment. Maybe a forest, but I have to see for myself what suits me the most.

Floran most probably, just because they are plants ​

Kinda in a middle. Don't want to play too slow, but want to explore as much as possible aswell.​

If treasure hunting is an option i'll go into that, but i like mining, exploring a lot.​

Depends on situation, team etc. but moslty i prefer melee.​

I like 1 nice home base. ofc small temp bases are an option, but I like That one base that makes me feel like I'm home

1. Race I'm going to play most likely human and hylotl! The apex dont really appeal to me, monkeys, poo flingers ya know.
2. First character is gonna explore everything! Craft some armors but mainly be my exploration character.
3. Treasure hunter and boss slayer.
4. Most likely will be playing with friends and family, i might try with others, thats how i met my one friend kyle.
5. A day? depends what day ill try tossing 4 hours a day or more. busy with work and class right now.
6. Melee always interested me, and with use of shields and such it changes the aspect from taking hits to blocks and dodges.
7. Main definitely, with minor bases to store loot and materials. Water biomes and Ice biomes are my favorites but there are so many to chose from ill have to explore and see what catches my eye!

Ranged so I can kite monsters into there exhibits.

Not really sure. The way im thinking about it now, each exhibit will be a pit so I can lure them in easier and just close off the roof. Flying creatures may get a above ground building.

 

1. Either Novakid(When they become available), Hylotl, or Floran.
2. You cant be a farmer and a leader Rick. No, kidding aside, I'll take things casually. Explore, mine, farm, build. Then when I can I will get my high damaged weapons and obliterate everything in my path.
3. Treasure hunting and exploring. So many biomes, so little time.
4. Yep! Close friends and loved ones if they buy the game. They better.
5. Uh. Within the first 3 months of Terraria I racked up about 200+ hours. Do not underestimate me.
6. Melee with ranged backup.
7. I will have multiple bases through the world, Usually one in each biome.

 

1. Hylotl. They're my second favorite based solely on appearances, second only to Floran. I'll play as every race at some point, but Hylotl first.
2. Soak up the atmosphere, soak it alllllllllllllllllllllll up.
3. I have no idea. I've only managed 40 minutes in the game before I had to leave for reasons.
4. I don't do well on big servers and none of my friends have the game yet, so I'm all alone.
5. There's no way to know, considering all my busy work. Although I will say this: Probably too much.
6. I like Ranged combat for the sole reason of avoiding conflict whenever possible.
7. I'll play semi-nomadic. Set up shelter on every planet I visit, but avoid getting attached so I can move freely and/or get my saves wiped. (Edit; I have no idea what biome I may or may not like.)
