Whats Your Opinion On the Characters? Do you think there should be a Bio option?

I understand this would take a long time for the Devs to do this but I don't care if my Avian talks like an Apex.

 

Then why cant the Devs put the option to choose when these events take place

 

Just to point out again, the Avian player characters are explicitly atheist, and the various Avian settlements you find are Avians who likewise have broken way from the cult of Kluex.

Because now you're asking the Devs to have the lore itself be variable instead of your character's personal actions. Think about it for a minute, how would that work if a multiplayer server had one character who said those events happend 10 years ago, and another character who said they happend 10000 years ago?

 

That's the point of the game at that point isn't it? Exploring to find things? You have a unique goal now, finding a vendor with the sort of clothes you want.

No, what if I found something like I dont know, Uranium ore but lets say it looks like copper. Do I say "Hard,Common Copper ore". Because if I do then it proves my character is an idiot.

This is the realm of mods. The developers have made each race into a unique culture separate from one another with these stereotypes. It doesn't mean that what they are doing is wrong, just because you don't enjoy it.

Go make your own mod if this is what you want.

You should read their lore then.

Here's the thing- not every race in the game should follow the norm. It's obvious they wanted to break that, else they wouldn't have made the plant people barbaric, carnivorous savages. My question is why does it HAVE to make sense to you? These are alien races, they are going to be weird to us. It's fine the way it is, they wanted to do something different, and they did it. And they established lore to explain why they are the way they are.

If it REALLY bugs people that bad, then there is modding support.

 

Why? Read the lore. Other florans can't even read. You are genius in comparison. I think they are quite charming and lovable the way they are; it is sweet irony how friendly they act when they are portrayed often as barbarians.

 

I have read the lore and I still don't understand the Glitch style. You are free from limitations because you aren't one of the glitch. So why are you stuck in a medieval style?

 

Again.. all I really want in the end is for Novakid to not speak like cowboy's/old western stereotypes. I can get over their old western aesthetics, but nothing annoys me more than hearing/reading a bunch of "yeehaws" and whatnot

Floran, (which was my most desired to play as) I just really don't care to play as now because their speech when inspecting things threw me off, and I just couldn't get into the feeling of playing a seemingly less intelligent race. (that's just me personally). Sure I could just not inspect things, but that's not the point, those feelings stick with me from the get go. I'm fine with it, and I don't really think there needs to be anything to change a race's lore/background or whatever we're calling it, I just don't roll floran.

However...

I'm hoping with Novakid that their old western style is more aesthetic than actual dialogue xP

If they do then I'll have to be swapping dialogue for Human or something lol.
