What's Your Favorite Race?

Wow I'm gone for months and this is still being replied to.

 

I am in favor of the floran.

Only because it was the first race I ever used. I originally thought florans were peaceful creatures...but that all changed when the floran nation attacked as i checked my codex. Ha!

I think its pretty cool though, that the plant humanoids are not a cliché anymore.

In Starbound though I would have to say Floran for characters and Avian for their Goa'Uld influences

Ah yes dat modification race, but i wouldn't use that modification anyway.

 

I'd like to try this mod one day. Maybe today. Does it work with nightly?

 

My favorite vanilla race would probably be the floran. or perhaps the avian..?

Yeah both of them is my current favourites, because ship designs, and pets even, because bunny is so ADORABLE, but leaf snake is good looking.

My favorite is teh Avians. The ship design is amazing. Some of the lategame armor looks bad, but everything else makes up for it hugely.

 

Just an average ordinary every day human.

 

My favorite race are the Novakids! I love the wild west and i love their attitude towards technology. They're some intelligent little buggers and their lax outlook makes me smile. :]
I can relate to them a bit since I'm the same way when it comes to making something: Good enough is better then perfect any day. Their origin lore is pretty cool too!

Plus I find their biology fascinating. Their brands intrigue me and makes me wonder what kind of magnetic or otherwise forces generate their skin from it and such forces have to be finite because Novakid eventually die of old age. The way they talk is cute too!

I want them to add Novakid Settlements soooo baaaad TAT *snuggles all her Novakids*

 

My favorite is Novakid also! I would say why, but you pretty much said all of it just now, so I'll agree with your statements!
However, I also love their fleeting thoughts and careless nature. So many interesting things to do, why stick to just one project?

Agh, I neeeeed novakid settlements.

 

Gonna go with Avians as my first choice. They are ancient, wise, and awesome. Floran for my secondary. They are primitive, savage, and very good hunters, they hunt anything, third Glitch, they are Medieval robots how awesome is that??
I personally have not tried any of the other characters yet so I can't say anything about them.

 

I keep recreating characters so I can't decide.

Apex look good, their armor is incredible through out save for a few spots. Their ship is initially cool but eventually turns into some kind of diamond which is weird.

Floran and Hylotl look the coolest as a character, but most of their armors I'd consider garbage tier aesthetically. Their ships are awesome however.

Glitch are "eh," I mostly like them only for their first four armor sets and their weapon aesthetics.

Humans are "eh." They look okay, have awesome armors, and a decent if generic and forgettable ship design.

Avian and Novakid are scratched off my list. I just don't care for them much at all. Maybe a few armors from the Novakid, but that's about it.

Basically, I figure I'll be happiest picking between a Floran or a Hylotl, and then stealing a bunch of armor from the other races.

 

Glitch, because i love medieval, and i love sci fi
medieval + sci fi = Glitch
Also what can possible be more awesome then a robot knight???
Oh and they mine faster
And they dont need food
IMMORTALITY!!!

 

If you keep using random for the name generator as a Glitch, eventually you'll get the name Robo Knight.

Oh great, then dye him white and give him a sword. MEGA FORCE, BABY!

My fave? Vanilla-wise: Hylotl too.

With mods? Ningen, aesthetic and spriting style-wise.
