What's your battleplan on release?

Hello Everyone

Thought i would make a post asking people what their first priority will be when they can finally sit down and play Starbound

Personally i'm really at a lose, i can't figure out what to do first
But i think my main priority will to estabilish a secure Homeplanet make a well armed city... possibly in a Dome, before i head out to explore

What will you guys do ?

Star Trek Online is also a good waiting game, till starbound comes!

 

Start the game, begin streaming, chaos ensues for the next day or so

Work my way up a bit, then fuck around as much as I can instead of progressing the plot.

My main focus will be finding my perfect sword.
But at the same time a homeworld will be needed.

 

To make a chronicle of my first playthrough as told through the eyes of my character, in journal format.

 

First character... Lets see Prolly explore the galaxy fixing peoples equipment, maybe join a group or so at a time and then joining the next one.

Second character. Set up a broadcast radio to relay into oppressed star systems. So I can play Gorillaz and become pirate radio.

 

I'm looking for Let's Plays for this game even though I'm going to play it too.

 

Sometimes I'll look for a Let's Play when I've heard mixed feelings about a game. Definitely won't need to do that for this game though.

 

You've never wanted to see Let's Plays of the game you've played?

Alright. I've been thinking about this for a while. Our groups' battleplan:

Day of release, I'd set up our dedicated Linux server and get that going. I'd also set up the murmur (mumble) server, and inform the group to get on both. There will be around 8-12 of us depending on what day it comes out (some people work ), but only two or so of us recording.

We've been planning to pair off in to two groups and start opposing corporations and claiming territory on neighboring sides of the galaxy, potentially sabotaging each other from time to time. Maybe further down the line wrangle in more people (we've got pretty good upload, so it's not really an issue) to fill in the corporations more, or start yet another. Things would probably be made up on the spot as we explore planets, horde resources and figure out where to make our civilizations. Probably after a day or two, I'd take a little break and edit the footage, which gives both groups time to separately conference on what to do. This depends on how much PvP support, etc is available at the time, of course, but it would also allow the group to sync up efforts while I deal with the footage. This game is shaping up to be perfect for a persistent world server, not unlike when our group used to play persistent world Neverwinter Nights servers. We're all pretty pumped to have a dynamic sort of versus that involves more than just direct PVP battle.
