whats the point of player killing weapons ?

im a little annoyed because im having to not use the new weapons because most of them kill other players. Also I have found a bazooka from a random generated weapons mod(default game weapons just generated at random) I have and killed some1 accsidently. I would really like it if these weapons were fixed so I could enjoy the new weapons without the worry of killing some1.

 

Doesn't adding players to a party make them not take damage from your weapons? Haven't played co-op in a while so I don't remember how it was.

 

Some weapons with explosive effect, like rocket launcher, kills everyone in its blast zone. Watch it.

 

Whats the point? Hmm. Perhaps to teach you that explosives are risky if you dont know how to use them? Perhaps just chucklefish being evil? Logic/immersion? Who knows.

 

Rocket launchers having explosions that kill me is fine, but being able to damage/one-shot other players with one regardless of their PvP status needs to change. I accidentally killed someone in my party at some point.

I feel the same way about the new staves, particularly the star orbs and the rift opener. Damaging me is fine, but damaging others is not cool if they're not in PvP.
