whats going on with the website/forums?

its been down off and on for me is anyone else having this issue or is it just me?

 

Happened to me as well.
A moderator will probably post the cause soon enough.

 

It's normal, makes the forum go down sometimes, it's always that overloads and host issues. Sigh..
When BETA Starts they better get better servers or this forum will get a PERM downtime

i am still on the Starbound Starvation..

 

I was slightly hoping that the Starbound website was down because they decided to give the beta out finally

I knew it was a false hope but still

 

I would've thought it was because they were merging the forums from Risk of Rain, the new game they're publishing now, but I'm not sure.

 

Or update anything at all.
At least they had the courtesy to nuke that beta-trolling thread.

And then you'll leave us forever and we'll be sad because you have become a tiny part of our lives. When beta comes out, the website will be so permanently down due to everyone logging on at once; it'll be difficult for anyone to actually get the beta, which will make everyone keeps refreshing the page and create a never-ending circle of lag and more lag. Good times will be had.

 

I was hoping that when the website finally came back up, I would be greeted by a the Beta and a trailer :/

 

Unfortunately, starbound had only been in production for about a year and 3 months. It might take them some months before a working beta could be pushed out.

ehhhhhhh, I might come in the forums during beta to see what new updates we might get and maybe some bug reports.

But I'm going to assume that when the betas DO come out, the site is gonna explode and go down for quite a while since like you said everyone's gonna be trying to download it. It'll probably rely on an email (which I won't get on time since Starbound doesn't seem to like hotmail)

I know it was an incredibly slim chance... but I can still hope

ill still come in here because people will most lily post what they have found like secrets and stuff or about there cool stuff they have built
