Whatcha most anticipated for in starbound?

Massive underground zoo, with the most dangerous creatures at the lowest levels. Hopefully there are a lot of those signs eg: Level 01, Level 02. And elevators. And keypad entry. Also looking forward to slowly dying in an ice cave from exposure and hunger while a mach 10 blizzard rages outside.

Dammit. I hope the devs host a server for anyone on the forums. Then we can be one big happy server. Yay.
That and then I can assassinate TIY and truly become the greatest assassin of all time AND become THE KING OF STARRY SKIES! MWUHAHAHAHAH!

 

I also plan on recruiting the best of the best of what they do for a team, then go around servers, claiming galaxies for our own. We will be called THE STARRY SQUAD!

Pretty much just this. I want to go find a super dangerous planet, and simply try not to die.

General exploration is also something I'm really looking forward to. The worlds and environments look super amazing. Not only that, but running around in the dark with flashlights is going to be SO MUCH FUN. The lighting effects for this game are so amazing.

 

Tiy gave an example for a quest/mission once. You'd have to save a robot with a broken leg from a planet that had acid rain. You'd have to (re)build a shelter that gets eaten away by the rain, and protect yourself from animals that seek shelter too.
Something like that up your alley?

Details, Thats what I want, details...
Proper weapon swinging, not just instant slashy with a short range even with a hammer.
A good combat system, Enemies or pvp (especially pvp) I don't want to be sitting idle slashing a melee weapon, I want to jump over their heads and strike them from behind or above. /
Freaking giant monsters which you can climb on their limbs and cut them off at joins. (I don't even know if this is gonna be part of the game)
A nice long storyline which is customizable and you can do things like create/download a storyline and quest system.
More guns, because there's never enough guns in a game.

 

I don't think you have to worry about PVP. Tiy has mentioned that different players can take up different roles by changing their equipment. So teams can have dedicated healers or damage dealers. This should make team based PVP especially fun.

 

I'm interested in exploring the planets.
All of them.

Eh, why is "slave" even an option? How about "friend/companion"? I don't want a slave..

 

Enslavement. *twidles fingers* For me it will be the exploring, that alone will keep me occupied for weeks and weeks and weeks as well as the building.

 

Probably a dog and name it after my pet: Emily. Unless it's a wolf or a fierce dog then something that would better suit it.

 

Ha yeah, I've noticed in the forums for a game that is not yet released, some members tend to act like things will be in the game when they probably won't be = disappointed gamer. Besides, a companion sounds better anyway. Friendship!
