What would you like to see as the third stretch goal?

I'd love to see the ability to comepletely create your own items, name them and submit them to a database. In other word's Steam Workshop support!

 

I think a good idea for the third goal would be if it was something to do with mechs or vehicles - maybe a larger number of mechs/vehicles, more types of mechs/vehicles, or even (as people have said before) mech customization. I think it's amazing that the first stretch goal has already be reached this fast and hopefully, with youtubers like Totalbiscuit and Jesse doing a series on Starbound, even more copies of Starbound will be sold.

I'd enjoy a team dedicated to implementing mechs

 

Strange idea, but how about children? Make a mini-you that ends up becoming an NPC on your ship and homebase. And an excuse to see some Floran butt-rubbing. I think it'd be awesome to have offspring you can take on trips with you and gear up.

Question is whether 2 players/NPCs of different species can "do it".

 

Space Combat, not sure if that is in the game but space combat would be awesome.

 

A universal/galactic peace keeping force that has jurisdiction across the cosmos.

 

I would like it if they added another one of the fan made races personally.

 

How's about the ability to land your spacecraft on the surface of planets? You would of course have to level out an area for it to land, but doing so would allow you to make a giant pyramid-structure, with your spaceship landing on the top and beaming down into the center of the pyramid, Stargate style! Or have an underground/underwater spaceship-dock for your ship to land and connect to a larger complex, easing the transfer of all the materials your slaves citizens have gathered for you.

 

It isn't yet. Tiy was planning to add it post-release.

I don't know about a new race. I mean new races are nice, but those can be easily added in after release. Personally I think they're going to be doing things that can be easily implemented by someone else, so they can focus completely on the game. Novakids are easy, you just have to do the art assets. Fossils, again easy, art assets and a bit of coding. I don't think they're going to add in a big intricate system mechanics until after the game releases cause that can cause more bugs then it's worth.

 

I don't think penguin mode needs to be its own thing, probably just a polymorph item you can use. Definitely not something complex enough to be a stretch goal.

Something that I think would help expand the game though would be new biomes. There have been some good suggestions in threads in the past regarding abandoned city planets (think Coruscant from Star Wars, but abandoned) crashed star ships, space hulks, even completely new environments.

 

Well as i said before i want wormholes (black holes), or option to destroy planet (from space by orbital strike or by destroying planet core).

That would be great something like the merging system in jade cocoon in which when you merge monsters the result will get the form of the first and the color with some features of the second like its wings or horn, that way if you find a generated monster that you like a lot but you wish it to be green to make it perfect maybe you will never see it like that so that will be a way to get a personalized creature to and extend and not just wish that something cool will appear at some point.

 

I want a short fluffy race. This is all i need. c:

An additional race. Either cat people, those gem people with a french-sounding name or something new and wondrous.
