Since you will Capture Monsters and be able to trade them, I have a feeling that a branch of the Starbounders will become Mob Trainers. If so, I'm going to open a Pokemon Mob gym on an asteroid.

 

Why have just 3? I know you can only have 3 at a time, but you could keep the rest at your space station or something and rotate in whoever's most helpful on that planet.
