Hmm...my reaction varies on mood, it can be a string of random profanities, or just 'oh well'. If I die in a way I perceive to be unfair (such as movespammers on Super Street Fighter IV) I am likely to rage, and hold a grudge against any death I have thereafter (until I come off the game and go back to it another time), this goes for times I die by my own failings (namely times where I was an idiot/should've been able to predict something/couldn't do something even though I should've been able to do it (what killed two of my Xbox controllers was me being unable to do Bloody High Claw for the umpteenth time (threw controller against the wall, broke left stick) and being unable to beat Shao Kahn from Chapter 16 of Mortal Kombat (threw controller onto bed, it bounced, I then hit it down with my fist, broke the right stick). Both of these happened within a week of each other (I think it happened two to three weeks ago, if I remember correctly))))...then there was that time I threw my PSP against a wall and dented the wall, but that is a different story.

Then again, amusing deaths, or purposeful suicides generally don't annoy me (Red Faction Guerrilla had far too many colourful explosive deaths to annoy me, especially when it was me hitting explosive tanks with a hammer). As for most of the time that gamer rage takes hold, I generally just punch my desk and yell a lot.

Although, as this is only in the case of hardcore, where the character is dead forever, there is a possibility that I was smart, and left a box of armour or something, to pass onto the next generation (so to speak). If that is the case, I may just add a monument to the graveyard (or make a graveyard if I haven't already) with a sign saying how they died...unless they allow you to make/buy tombstones, in which case I will use those instead...maybe add a random quote from that character.

 

i think i will look like:

 

Calmly look at the screen for five seconds.
Then, I would close the game and stand up.
Next, I would walk outside with my baseball bat.
Then, I commit seppuku with said baseball bat.

I would let out a resounding "lolwut?" and then respawn.

 

I will weep into my soft hands for, like, tons of hours. After that I will write depressing poetry about my grief... the greatest loss of my life.
