What will be your first newb mistake?

Every game has newbie mistakes. Just some examples from other sandbox games would be that in Minecraft, people try to break blocks be rapidly clicking instead of holding down or in Terraria people will wonder what the "Purple Spiky Thing" is. What do you think your first newbie mistake will be? I'm sure I'd forget Poptops are deadly and go hug one.

 

My first instinct is to go get resources, trees, blocks, whatever.

Ill probably get mauled by monster that looks exactly like a tree.

 

The compulsive need to pick up every single item just in case I have a use for it later will be my undoing.

Being a newbie, I won't really have any idea what a "Good" weapon is, so I'll constantly pick everything up, and probably spend more time inventory managing than anything.

 

I'll fall off a cliff.

 

I'd get eaten by a rock.
Hopefully I'll eat the rock first.

 

This would be my second mistake.

Me: Aww.... What a cute- DAWUT A ROBOT-NUCLEAR-KITTEN?
FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU
BOOOOOOM
(Homeworld blows up, I respawn in space and die again .)

 

I dunno about first, but there are many mistakes I keep repeating in different games.
I'll probably research technologies in a bad order and try to do quests I possibly can't beat with what I have.

Umm but but... the very first?
I'll probably walk straight into a trap of some sort.
Then I go "...oh!" and don't do it again for a long time.

 

I'd probably find a cave on an ice planet, because I'd try to colonize their first. I'd enter the cave and see a guy hanging from the ceiling with a weapon beneath him. As I pick up the strange baton-like-thing (that was a Star Wars reference...) and look up to see a huge yeti thing rip me in half.

 

I would just fail the tutorial or the first mission.

 

Joining multiplayer without SP experience.

 

Going to the most late-game area i can get too and try to fight through it, resulting in everything kicking my a**.

 

I'll forgot torches or flashlights or anything that can help me on an always night planet.

 

First newbie mistake? Being where I don't belong. I'll probably see something and be all like "Ooooh what's that?" And run in a single direction for awhile only to end up in the belly of some giant monster.

 

I'll probably drown in a puddle..... trying to dig out some low lvl ore.... danm greedy newbs

 

I would throw an explosive and accidently kill my self.

 

Digging down.

 

Digging up.

 

Walk around the world continuasly, then forgot that it goes on repeatedly in a circle.
