What will be your first major project?

Just caught up on my Starbound news. So anyone planning on using the new asteroid biome to do something awesome?

 

Hmmm first major project huh. Think I'll find me a nice desert planet, build me a nice quiet ranch, have a few cattle like creatures, maybe a small farm.....

But underneath this unassuming ranch is a vast network of high tech rooms filled with plunder from across the galaxy! Complete with advanced fabrication labs and a huge mech bay! (Assuming they still plan to add mechs )

 

Step One: Establish small field base and explore planet.
Step Two: Construct underground base connected to field base. Upgrade equipment in the excursion locker.
Step Three: Allow machinery to spread throughout the world! My own little technological singularity! Where Glitches and malevolent AI's can live in peace, away from those putrid fleshbags.
Step Four: Amass army of giant robocrabs...

 

Build a thick layer of glass around a planet, hollow it out, and fill it with water. Then I'm going to populate it with sea life. So many fish to collect! It would probably be a fairly small planet, though.

 

I don't know, probably some kind of foundation for my Hylotl homeworld.

 

Some kind of epic base.

 

Flying city/underwater city.May be I'll build a ship or a blimp.

 

A WATERFALL.

... Im simple.

 

I plan to turn a planet inside out, IE dig out everything and put it it in the sky

 

My first project will probably be a castle or a fort or something similar; possible to make with low tier stuff but still fun to make. A moonbase is more certainly coming along later though.

 

On my planet I'm going to try to create Yggdrasil from Norse mythology, except not just from wood, it will be a giant bio-mechanical fortress made of steel and wood, complete with a kingdom at the top..

 

I dunno how, but I will do it.

 

Build a fish bowl to live in.(hylotl)

 

Maybe as a Hylotl i could build a giant house that is flooded with water. Then i would make airlocks for the house. I did this in Terraria when i had the merman item and i had alot of fun with it so why not do it again?

 

To cleanse my solar system of any life.

 

Eliminating all the juice.

 

My first project would be making a major base inside a volcano.

 

Yeah but how will you divert all the magma? Surely at those pressures, one misstep will flood your entire base with lava! It can't be done!

 

I'm sure it's probably possible to create something that prevents liquids, and falling solids, from entering your base.

As for me, I'm going to try to create a large cannon on whatever planet I inhabit and see if I can find a way to use it to bombard other planets from a distance.

 

By building a wall perhaps. But don't remove the wrong block! Or you'll have a pretty major spill in isle 7.
