what was your first impression when you first heard of starbound?

like what did you think starbound was when you first heard of it, i thought it was going to be like some game that was going to be something like super mario galaxy or something related to it

 

I personaly didn't know what to think of it. When the first pictures were released it just looked like a modern terraria, but now it's taking a lot more shape than that and I think that it will have aspects that are from insparation but I think a lot will be unique.

 

When I first saw some screenshots of what I didn't even know what they were, I was intrigued but I didn't really know what to make of it.

But when the website came around, and some details were revealed... This is my most anticipated game yet.
Just how it is Tiy's dream game and how it is the labour and love of the dev team reassures me that this will be quality.

 

I did see some screenshots of it but I didn't know it was the game.
But then when I read about the game on their website I got totally hyped and excited to play the game!

 

First thought: "THIS IS SPARTA LOOKS AWESOME!"

 

My first thought was: "This looks really interesting, I will definetly follow the development of this game" and then I thought the same as I thought with Minecraft and Terraria: "This looks like my dream game"

 

I was thinking, "Hey. This looks pretty cool. I enjoy this. I hope to hear more about said game. Kudos to you, Tiy. This game seems very fun. I will gladly follow this game's development."

It was either that, or "OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG."

Heard about Tiy going onto make his own game through the gaming website of my choice, checked it out and already being a fan of the artwork in Terraria, I liked the few screenies I did see. Then I did a bit of reading and poking around on the website, and decided this game was definately something I wanted to be involved in! I've been waiting for a game that lets you explore a universe and colonize planets, they gave us a little idea of this mechanic in Mass Effect 2 [with all that planet scanning stuff], but Starbound looks amazing hehe.

Really looking forward to exploring and conquering planets in the name of Weyland-Yutani! [Yeahh, my first universe is gonna be one over-ran by these guys]

 

When I FIRST saw it? I said "Ooh, looks like terraria, but easier on the eyes."

Then after a few updates and now that we have some more info, all I can say is "Woah."

 

I have no idea what I thought, cause my mind was blown once Yri's stuff started mentioning big numbers about sprites about a single weapon and customizabilities and stuff... But yeah, it did sound like modern terraria until the entire planets etc thing started kicking in. :O

 

My first thought was somethink like "Maybe a new(er) Terraria?"
After I got more infos, I think this will outclass terraria in all aspects!

 

I was actualy kinda sad when Terraria was discontinued, but luckely they linked me too Starbound, wich made me excited again.

 

"Terraria knockoff, it's gonna be garbage" then I read more into it realizing there were Terraria devs in on it, then it went to "Well, this might not be too bad" then I found blue's video, then it changed to "Looks good, I hope they did it well" and now it's at "I hope the gameplay itself doesnt suck, cant wait for a beta chance and/or trailer"

 

it cheered me up since i found this out after i learned there was going to be no more updates on terraria.

 

I guess, most of the people thought like that. I really hope people will give it a chance, and not turn it down before they even saw some actual gameplay.


Btw: Yess! A One Piece fan!

I thought that i will have another game to wait for, since it looked to me (and still dose) like a good game.

 

So, did you choose a pure black avatar thingie on purpose? It's so lifeless e.e

You should add some One Piece flair in it
