What Types Of Planets Are You Hoping For ?

Exactly! Exploring ancient ruins is so peaceful. It's cool too because you can find lore, or investigate on your own about just what exactly happened to the inhabitants of that planet. haha.

 

Oh man if they do decide to add a steampunk planet, I'll want to buy the game ten times more!

Here I am, waiting patiently for these good folks to let me give them my money, and you come along and ramp up the excitement by TEN TIMES?! Over Steampunk?

Okay, then. Fair enough. Steampunk World would be pretty amazing. Especially if they DO put in some kind of reverse-engineering awesomeness mechanic that would let you wander around picking things up and turning them into parts for your new Bronze Super-Computer.

 

A planet where all the mobs are invisible?
Also I've noticed that Planet Made of Diamonds and Planet filled with Unicorns has been mentioned twice.

 

Well if nothing else I think they should make a good steampunk-themed grapple hook. The chain gun from Dirk Valentine comes to mind as a good example. Not necessarily the whole aesthetic of the game, but the weapon has a very nice feel to it. There are lots of gameplay videos that you can take a look at to get a feel for the device without playing the game.

 

Grapple hooks are amazing and I really hope they're in starbound

 

Clockwork Planet? As you go down, you approach a core, made out of lots of gears and cogs.

I guess that's what the Steampunk planet would be like, but the idea remains the same. A planet that was BUILT.

 

Living Organic Planet

By a planet that builds other planets.

A planet filled with midgets that try to kill me and my crew constantly.

But seriously, I'd want a rather marshy or swampy planet to explore.

Fur from what animal? Exactly?

 

A rocky planet with giant stone golems that crush you. Or a planet that's really a sun. That would be cool too.

 

Woudln't a sun planet be really hot..? and burn you?

 

Pyro suit. Or some other flameproof gear. Maybe it just has a monster doing something to its core and when you defeat it you get a nice cozy planet that grows grass and trees and little fuzzy-wuzzies (read: tribbles) and then you can build on it.

 

A jungle planet with trees n plants these kinda colors, lots of rivers, populated by wolves, snow leopards, arctic foxes and the like. Also lots of things glow at night which lasts longer than day. The planet is smallish a third the size of earth and finally the aurora borealis spans across the whole planet.

I'd want a Pokemon planet! Gotta catch all those Poptops!
