What Types Of Planets Are You Hoping For ?

I'm interested in aquatic areas.

Doesn't have to be aquatic-based planets, but at least some aquatic areas on a planet will be nice. Aquatic life is always awesome.

 

Perhaps the tentacle world is a sentient life form? That would explain where the tentacles were coming from...

 

Yeah I imagined a living planet would just be a giant mass of tentacles, eyes and mouths. Prehaps the planet would attack you if you started mining into it but would otherwise leave you alone.

I want a planet that is really one gigantic library filled with just about every book ever made. There can even be an almost unkillable boss that lives in shadows.

I am hoping for an artificial planet, made out of metal and maybe rebuilding itself.

 

I want planets with randomly generated civilizations. allied or hostile, human or alien, futuristic or not.

 

Planet with the technology in stone age time.

 

You could pretend to be a god!

 

I like this idea and should be hopefully easy to add to the game.

Well I didn't read all 22 pages but it's not listed in the original post so I'd love to share:

A GAS GIANT PLANET!!!

Gas Giants are definitely one of the most common types of planets out there. They're also totally cool as all the gas does crazy stuff and makes the planet totally inhospitable. Such as Jupiter, it is made up of deadly gases and has crazy strong gravity and temperatures throughout, and it has the Great Red Spot which is a storm larger than Earth and has been raging for hundreds of years.

So I'm not sure how the gameplay of Starbound will work exactly, but what I imagine exploring a Gas Giant planet will be like is it'll be totally dangerous, where one wrong step leads to falling into the extreme gravity and temperature of the core; instantaneous death! However, in this horribly hostile environment, resources abound! Through the great risk lies great reward, and it'll all be there for the mining... If the player can stay alive long enough!
There could also be Super Strong monsters flying around in the gaseous atmosphere, grown near invincible from living in the hell.

Basically, with Gas Giants being so common, any universe would just feel incomplete without them! Even if they're like somewhat rare and super end-game content, there just HAS to be gas giants!!!
