What Types Of Planets Are You Hoping For ?

i'm not so sure about mana, but crystal filed with energies are definately sci-fi material. Of course, you can still detonate the planet by inacting a chain-reaction with the crystals.

 

I dont know or not if someones sugested this, but waht about an ocean planet, covered enterly by water, with a bunch of biospheres underwater.

 

Ocean planets? Yes, many times - even though they've already been confirmed (i think)

Underwater biospheres? Good idea!

 

Then we need some ugly deep sea fishes.

I must be hungry because I'm thinking of a planet comprised entirely of iced cupcakes.

 

Well... I love steampunk, so a planet of steam vents and machines that run on that steam would be cool. Pipelines and gears everywhere. It would be awesome. On a more organic note, I would love to see a planet of insects. Evolution on Earth has worked out so that mammals are the dominant lifeform type but on another planet birds, reptiles, or insects could be dominant. And of course, things nothing like we have ever seen are possible too. Another planet could be the inside of a large creature. Like you walk around inside it's stomach and fight it's organs as bosses. I also think it would be cool if there was a sort of yin yang planet kind of thing. Where one half is dark and the other is light.

 

I will live on a level 100 planet I think
It will take me forever to clear it of danger
I believe that it will be worth it though

Transformer Planets - The terrain is constantly transforming into something different with many traps and a chance to find Autobot or Decepticon NPCs 8D

I don't know if they have been suggested, at least don't seem confirmed:

Swamp/Jungle Planet: the name explains it

Rocky planet: Small planets. Just rocks, maybe space pirates or mercenaries as only inhabitants. Moon style planet.

Low density planet: a planet with very low density, with load of fog and very disperse solid parts in the surface making it like made of platforms. The inner part would be solid. Low visibility.

High density planet. Everything is either solid or liquid. Similar to ocean planet only that you can't find any place outside the liquid part. Posibly with extra slow speed and necesity to get an apropiated vehicle/mecha to visit it.

Ring planet: You visit the Rocky ring of a gas giant, posibly the parts are in movement and you have to be careful when you jump from one to another, if you fall, it's a long fall to death.

Desert Planet: Possibly Arrakis style (from Dune).

Ghostly planet: Full of ruins and undead. Everything in the planet seems dead, even the plants. During the day you might find just small and big insects that appear from under the ground, ruins, etc.. and ambush you. During the night, you find undeads and ghosts, and dead trees and plants grow ghostly leaves and flowers. You see the ghosts of animals too and terrain looks different, maybe including ways to acces to areas you can't during the day, and items appear, like chests and stuff. Also if you use a source of light, it banishes the effect from the area it reaches, and maybe you can even combine the effects to reach areas in ruined buildings, like you climb the stairs during night, then use a torch to cross a wall that during the day appears broken.

Edit: another idea for the ghostly world, if you use a source of light during night, undeads can reach you but ghosts can't, however ghost will begin to appear at a faster rate and swarm around you, reducing the area of effect of your light source as they increase in numbers, eventually causing it to not work. That would prevent the abuse of light sources and make it more challenging.
