What Types Of Planets Are You Hoping For ?

A broken planet; some shattered world loosely held together by "something" be it chains, vines or bridges of rock.

A death world; a planet full of lifeforms that have evolved under the harshest of conditions becoming super-predators.

A dead world. No life, just ruins (if there was a civ) comprised of wastelands: deserts, rocky expanses, etc.

 

oh boy, from the sound of things it looks like Tiy and the others will probably never have to have another brainstorming session for planet ideas again.
Let's see, to summerize, we want every world theme that has appeared in Sonic, the original Jazz Jackrabbit game, and Cosmo's Cosmic Adventures. Hmmm, even though someone may have already mentioned it, I think I'll suggest it again:

The Crystal Caves planet: A barren rocky planet with a thin atmosphere. Below the surface however is an elaborate maze of mines and natural caverns rich in crystals, gems, and metal ores. However the underground is also the home of a number of fairly unpleasent creatures and malfunctioning gravity generators make some chambers a challenge to navigate. Near the surface is a human prospector/free trader with a broken-down ship. If you'll give him some cash so he can fix his ship and avoid having to work at his uncle's Yorp ranch, he'll give you his mining suit or some sweet digging equipment. The former would resemble the miner's outfit from Terraria and function the same way. The latter would be things like a mid-tier drill, mineral detector with a decent range, or the like...

 

Would there be any monsters at all ?

 

So for the Death World... if everything is a predator what is the prey?

 

Hard Sci-Fi fans ask the same question about Catachan in Warhammer 40k all the time....

I still want my dinosawr planet.
A planet made up of small islands would be good too (sort of like Minilands for terraria); each island could have a different diome ^_^

 

I just had to imagine a t-rex on a really small island, then I started laughing

I think dinosaurs would be perfect for this game.. There would be little armies of tiny raptors that would chase you and nibble on your feet >
Just when you thought it was all fun and games BAM a giant t-rex comes out of nowhere and bites your head off muwahaha ^_^

 

A planet with holes. Lots of holes. Maybe barren and rocky. With big craters and medium holes and small holes. And holes. HOLES.
Like think Terraria's corruption chasms but not as deep, much more common and not as wide.

 

Well, I would preferr a:

8-bit planet
Corporation planet. Everything you do there requires you to submit forms.
Memory planet: a planet that had watched your every move, and had recorded all the enemies and bosses you have encountered, so you can fight them again.
planet engulfed in warfare. You may pick sides.

 

I'm guessing you like holes ?

 

I want a night planet. A planet that is always dark and never has daytime. There would be deadly and strong monsters here that you would see in nightmares. the perfect planet for shadows as well

i guess you could say that, i just like the night more than day

 

If it's night time on your planet, then it has to always rain.... cause that would be badass xD
