What type of weapons could you see yourself using all the time?

A halberd an a big tower shield would be cool.. Maybe futuristic looking..handheld forward force field and a laser halberd? Dunno! But something like that. I love Halberds..its a spear and an axe all in one!

 

Some type of rapid fire gun in one hand a cool looking sword in the other.

Simply agreed! Not allot of games, in general, gives you the option to use some thing as badass as a scythe. Game designers really need to realize that scythes are more than just farm tools used to chop down bundles of crops, because we all know the one's who wields the scythe farms though more than just wheat! Maybe a head of cabbage, or lettuce.

 

I'd use a big tower shield (made out of plasma or some strong metal ^^) and explosives.

I would say an ammo-based assault rifle shouldered to my guy via one-point sling would be my choice, perfect balance of range, speed, magazine, and damage.

It could handle many things the size of a human and some just a tad larger, yet it's a light and short weapon that's not near as heavy to lug around as say an anti-tank rifle or rocket launcher. Though having an anti-tank rifle on my back for the Beluga Dog I just drew up for the monster contest would be nice......

 

Devil May Cry, Ebony-Ivory Style dual pistols.. some awesome revolvers/shotguns.. eastern themed bladed weapons.. and big axes. Glowing with plasma or not.

As a gun nut I gotta replay to that one.......Why not Glock 18's with 33rd magazines?

On to a side note I don't understand why everyone is wanting swords. In a time of guns and armor melee weapons of any kind are useless for anything other than emergency use and last resort backup weapons. Maybe they would be great with a jet-pack but that's stretching it.....

 

I prefer non-automatic pistols and the Glock 18's are automatic
I might just stick with Dual Suppressed Berettas ^_^

 

I've gotta go Spartan on their space butts. Some form of large retractable shield on a chain so I can throw it as a weapon and a javelin.

 

It depends on the mechanics of the game, but if it's like Terraria I will prefer a gun in each hand or a two-handed rifle. I like to keep my distance in games like Terraria. :D

(First i'll need a gun that shoots leprechauns to get the cash, though.)

 

Melee weapons and Pistols with high damage/knockback.

 

A laser minigun. Nuff' said.(If lncluded of course)

 

Duel pistols, maby sometimes a melee weapon.

 

any melee weapon that supports some sort of teleporting/dash attacks. I got tired of the old terraria keep swinging and hope it keeps the bad guys away... I want something to get up close and personal fast or just teleport around enemies.

 

Keep all these items in my inventory and switch them out:

Melee:
Huge Hammer
Huge Shield

Close-Range:
Dual Sawn-off Shotguns

Long Range:
Huge Sniper Rifle with awesome cocking/reloading animation

Melee 2:
Hidden dagger (Inside shirt sleeve)
Mini shield strapped to arm (Lower effectiveness due to lack of size)

and probably 9000 other builds clogging up my inventory

 

A sword and shield! link outfit would go nicely with it though
