What type of weapons could you see yourself using all the time?

Two pistols, each with an opposing debuff type.

Spears, because they're awesome, and probably laser pistols or revolvers, because they are also awesome.

At the same time preferably.

 

Would love to see hi-tech modifications of low-tech items like a Bow (thinking mechanical bow that fires energy).

 

The Pimp Glove, you know the one from Saints row 2? (If it was in the game), Yup that with low Gravity was unreal when you hit your friend with it and he went at least half way across the map with the cheat on, anyone else enjoy the Pimp glove from Saints row 2? Memories

Yeah definitely, all the weapons this game will have to offer means high versatility.

 

I think I'll be using an axe and a shield with a backup rifle of some sort just in case... however if there are crossbows then I'd go for those (especially if you could dual wield them).

 

My trusty pickax/mining laser of course.

 

A rock. Just a regular old fashioned rock, I throw it at people, or if they get too close I brain them with it.

 

In the end I usually prefer high rate of fire guns with at least a medium range accuracy. Hopefully that will apply to all types in Starbound. High rate of fire auto shotgun, or rockets? Thats gravy, then again possible with all the random mods

swords, spears, shields and plasma pistols, nothing too much big... maybe a saw-off shotgun for spread damage or a plasma sub-machine gun

the abyssal whip for florans will be great, really expecting that they will put lightning/laser joints whips

 

Ranged: Duel revolvers, shotgun or a sniper rifle if you can aim so far you can't see you're character on-screen.
Melee: Halberd, spear or some kind of axe.

 

I like both Melee and Ranged weapons so it will depend on the situation and enemy.

 

If I can get a laser repeater I'll be happy. Or a chainsword. I wonder if Tiy and co. will put "equivalent" shoutout weapons in the game for stuff like 40k, I want a bolter!
