What type of weapons could you see yourself using all the time?

I would love it if there were shields. That would make my day. A good lance and shield combo just can't go wrong!

 

As someone who is usually a magic user, I'd love to see what the mana-equivalent weapons will be! Flamethrowers, maybe a tazer, maybe even a laser gun that'll use battery instead of ammunition?

 

A knife?

 

Generally speaking, if there are swords, I'm all about the blades. If not though, I can get pretty gun happy. I tend to favor snipers when the opportuinty is there, that was my weapon of choice in Borderlands for sure

 

Can you say gunblade, anyone?
Which may not be necessary considering the ability to wield two weapons, but eh, double gunblade would be sweet.

 

I think there was a topic like this earlier too, but regardless, sword and shield, and pistol and shield. I like my defense.

 

Depends on what weapons appeal to me, really. Preferably something that's quick, since I tend to prefer speed.

I have a thing for swords, but I don't think a sword will be all that useful in Starbound :/

On a serious note, I'll probably use magic special scientific weapons of mass destruction.

 

I'm probably going to be using a good and reliable assault rifle mostly. Maybe keep a shotgun and/or a decent melee weapon should the battle get a little too close to me.

 

Swords and swords. I might mix it up with a cutlass, a blade, or possibly a sword.

I'm just not that into ammo management, knowI'msaying

Although of course we don't know how guns work yet. Possibly they'll just use recharging energy?

Something fast, even if the damage isn't as good as another weapon. I love to blend things.

 

Honestly, ill use any weapon that fires lazers... and they have to be purple or pink... and have to have an awesome PEW PEW when they shoot.
