What type of weapons could you see yourself using all the time?

Guns with shield attachments such as that would be nice.

Because, Sir Isaac Newton's first law of motion states that: "An object in motion stays in motion, unless acted upon by an outside force." In short, if you fire a gun in space, the bullet ,or other projectile, will just keep going and going and going(just like the energizer bunny) until it hits something or someone and ruins their day. Since there is no gravity in space, the bullet or other projectile will keep on going at the same velocity until it hits, or gets hit by, something else.

that doesn't mean people can't want bows, or throw-able objects. I like those more

 

I prefer a bow to a gun any day(except when I'm out of arrows.) In Starbound though, I'd kinda like to use biotics or something along the lines of that.

 

what about a laser bow, you have arrows that when fired a laser comes out of the bow for like 2 secconds. or a laser cross bow! that is what I want... I think.

likely I will be going with 2 handed melee weapons, or a melee+shield combo, or a heavy ass machine gun/explosive weapon.

forget about those pansy sniper rifles and pathetic wannabee SMGs. =p

 

I would stick with a charge-powered stealth pistol with a strong, but accurate shot.
And a small sub-machine gun for when I get in tight spaces.

 

I would go into fights, bearing the Donut King Regalia. Glory to the Donut Army!

But in all seriousness, I would so totally use a sword, a sniper-rifle, and some sort of rapid fire sidearm or rifle.
Or a laser banana.
