What to do, what to do...

So... Has anyone read a good book lately?
I recommend Bamboo People. It was pretty engrossing.

 

I've been re-reading Metro 2033. It's a really great book and I highly recommend it to everyone.

 

ooo I've been hearing about that one, quite few times before. I don't know what it's about, but I hear it's a pretty good read.

 

I need to read that. One question though, anyone happen to know if there exists an English version of the sequel (metro 2034) - AFAIK it's only ever been published in Russian

It's basically about a global nuclear war. In Russia, everyone is forced to move into extensive underground metro system. After some years, the surface is still uninhabitable and each of the metro stations become a sort of independent city-state and the story goes from there.

 

There've been some pretty cool releases lately:
Prison Architect (Alpha): Design a prison, see it being built by workers in real time, manage your prisoners (Or prisoners will start stabbing each other and destroying things)
Mark of the ninja: Great sidescrolling stealth game with a ninja who is bassicely Batman (You can hang bodies from lamp posts, to terrify and distract guards)

Pretty much been playing those and Terraria.

 

So uh...
The 4th annual Scream Fortress Halloween event for TF2 is live.
That's something.

 

I feel like going to the arcade = -=
I hear Pump it up is fun as a co op game.

...oh gosh, that was very immature of me, I apologize ._.

but I've been playing 3ds and a bunch of indie games (cause they're cheap), watching anime (One Piece, Bakuman, Sword Art, and Reborn for now... but I did start a few other series up), and a lot of skyping and youtube.

 

There are a few translated versions that can be found on the internet, but they aren't very well done. I can only assume that someone just copied and pasted the book into google translate or babel fish. If I had the time, being the grammar nazi that I am, I would try to correct the spelling errors in the translations and post it on the internet. But, until that day comes, which it may never, I believe that if you want to read 2034, you'd have to do what I'm doing and try to learn Russian. I think that it would be well worth your time though to learn the language of a great country.

 

If you know WoW, the Minecraft map "Crafting Azeroth" may interest you for a while.

 

They made a game about it, it's kinda accurate, but some things are cut in the interest of gameplay. Its well worth a play if you dont necessarily want to read the book.
Unfortunately the 'bad' ending is the canonical one

 

If it hasn't been mentioned yet try Terran Conflict.

It's only like 15$ on steam but I'll warn you in advance the game is very.... deep.
