So, today I went to my first moon since changing to unstable. I beamed down and planned to just go about my business and dig some ores up, but then I paused. It was quiet. Desolate. I was all alone, and the music started up. It was dark, and glowing rain began to fall, and I just stood there, sort of shocked, at the amazing feeling that all of it gave me at once. It was almost like the moon itself was sad, conveying its loneliness through the eerily beautiful music and flickering lights of the glowing rain. That moon has moved me. What about everyone else? Starbound is a beautiful game, and I'm sure there are places that people have a soft spot for and that takes their breath away every time they see it. Post away! *Unfortunately I didn't snap a picture until it had lightened up
well, this is not outstanding but i like it i managed to make the boat float around and it still moved
I typically hate pink. But this moon was realy calming and nice: Incase anyone wishes to go here: Delta Cebalrai 682 VII Moon. No breathable atmosphere. X: -749861269 Y: -682640170
There was this one time when I was on a planet and I was dying. I had one bar of health. Suddenly, I found a Glitch wizard in his house. He sold me some red stim packs so I could heal myself. He saved my life. Then, he walked outside and left the door open. He was killed by a monster. I ran outside and slew the vicious beast. I ran over to my new friend to help, but I was too late. He was gone and there was nothing I could do. I am forever indebted to him. Also my ship moved me. Get it?
just came across this in a lat-tier planet (tiers 9-10?) i found this while there was an eruption or an ash rain going on tried to zoom out but the fire destroyed a bit of the platform
I don't have pictures, but one of the more recent experiences that I found particularly awesome was climbing an Avian Tower in the middle of an asteroid rain, having it essentially explode all around my character.
The Bone Dragon roared as glowing rain fell all around me. The evening light cast an erie, apocalyptic glow across the land as the explosive firing of the defense turrets filled the night air with the sounds of death. The tower I was standing in was set ablaze, as it was made mainly of wood and soft bricks. I jumped off, my hammer high above my head, and brought it down upon the mighty beasts skull. It fell to the ground roaring before dying a quick death. Suddenly, it grew dark. The air became still. No more did the sounds of battle echo across the hills, disturbing the peaceful forest beyond. I lay panting on the ground, still clutching my hammer. As I looked around, several Avian villagers came out from their homes tentatively. The turrets were still. Glowing rain sent soft slices of light falling gracefully through the dark night. All was at peace.
I love how the planets look like at different times of the day. There is also some arid planets with a red sky. We need more of them.
I just saw this really pretty grasslands planet. There was a lonely Glitch house sitting on top of a hill. The backgrounds of rolling blue fields seemed to add to the affect of the pink morning sky. But then I died as I was trying to take a screenshot.
