What Mods Do You Want To See?

This thread is, more or less, opposite of this one. This is the topic that asks what mod you would like to see in the game.

I'll go ahead and get the ball rolling.

If the developers don't initially implement it, I would like a turret-based mod. I'd like to see three deployable turrets:
1) A quick self-assembling auto-turret you can set down at throwing range and sticks to any surface. Consumable item, cannot be retrieved. Cannot be destroyed, but expires over time.

2) A slower self-assembling auto-turret that can only be placed on the ground where you're standing at. Consumable item, but can be retrieved. Doesn't expire over time, but can be destroyed. If destroyed, turret is lost forever and new one must be crafted. Same damage output as first turret, best used in places where you're less mobile (ex. at base or large ore deposit you're trying to mine)

3) A manually-assembled turret that you can mount. Can only be deployed on the ground. Consumable items, but can be retrieved. Doesn't expire over time, but can be destroyed. If destroyed, turret is lost forever and every component needs to be rebuilt. Because it requires you to use turret, it is generally much stronger than the previous 2.

 

Which I always thought of the opposite of this one, but I guess the wording is slightly different so this may be a new topic..

 

Well if you want to be technical, this thread is indeed different from the one you linked. The one you linked is speculation on what mods are guaranteed to get added. This thread, however, is talking about what mods you actually hope will get made.

Some forumers did a hard work to implement new races! It's a shame they weren't added. I really would like a modder to add those wonderful races!

 

Terrain Features++. Remember how the terrain generation has custom built bits that are randomly added to make things interesting(I think they were called features)? I'd like to see a community contributed library to expand these to help improve variety in the terrain, dungeons and cities. Same with the monster generator.

I don't see how one for fans could be made.

 

Easy. Changing all the races into ponies.

Huge storms which can actually kill you if you stay on the surface, seasons (some planets wouldn't have any), perpetual rain/storm/flood/mist/etc planets, improved ambiance with non-interactive creatures climbing trees or watching at you from the vegetation, and lots of other stuff.

I'm honestly hoping that content like this will be integrated into the core game after release with the promised content patches. Constantly improving variation and ambiance with world/creature/space(?) generation has so much potential if it's done right.

 

Nudity Mod. Definitely.

Pixel parts, That's what we're going to call nudity in this context.
Oh, is that ironic (or moronic on my part?) how TV usually pixelates(sp?) things, yet here we are living in the pixel world of starbound, oh, oh!.
Does that mean it becomes the opposite?, 'real life' parts ?.

Oh god, i'm heading somewhere i'd rather not be on a public forum...

1) A journal mod, if this is in-game praise be (deity here) I'm not a youtuber so, best way in a SP game is to log my sessions, like fraps?, maybe, ideally some sort of log entry, "you did this at X time", "you landed at X at Y time" etc.
It's just text so how much space could it take?.
"Starbound date 01.01.01, Captains log, out of loo roll, Flush doesnt seem to be working, i'll leave it for now...Surely it won't come back to bite my butt!".

2) Mentioned in another thread, to be able to customize our ship/shuttle, again if it is not already in-game.
3)To be able to genetically modify pets/creatures into the ultimate badarse, also, this is a good angle to a boss fight...

 

The ability to play the Intelligent Space-cats and customize different bodies.
