What kind of world is best for...

A recreation of Castlevania?

'Cause honestly trying to create Dracula's awesome castle is incredibly easier to do in this game than Terraria (thanks to all the mod and the block layering amongst other things.) And with many worlds and biomes it's easy to kind a place that's pretty much captures the feel of the dreaded castle. So I'm asking for suggestions.

Also what blocks, furniture and even mods should I use?

Note: I already have the Castlevania mod.

 

IIRC there is a mod that adds several castlevania objects.

Well at least let me ask if ya know a good world where to put up the castle.

 

Ive not played Castelvania, but my guess would be a midnight world. Always dark, so you can set the mood with lighting. May require some terraforming.

 

I haven't seen one of those worlds, I'll look for it. Also how hard is it to terraform it? Do I need a high-level/maximum upgraded manipulator for it? Or heck, pickaxes?

 

My bad. If you are using Stable, then you don't have those planets yet IIRC.

Too be honest I had experienced Nightly from a friend's comp and the way you are forced teleported back into yer ship was annoying as heck... so I'm staying in stable.

 

What do you mean? If something forced you back to your ship, that was likely a bug.

 

A castle worthy of our Lord and Saviour?! why... the jungle biome I say! it has this sweet huge swamp with frogs that sell you things, get rid of the frogs and start building! and on the plus of it... it is full of this majestic fog that lowers your frame rate from times to time!

 

Prolly. I mean the guy (my friend) has a very neat high spec comp (he build it himself) so it prolly is a bug. But a bug that forces you to port back into yer ship at random points at multiple occasions? Too annoying to endure. I mean this it the times it did it to me when I played Starbound Nightly in his comp:

1. Forced me to delete and recreate my char because it keeps porting me back when I get underground.
2. Porting me back whenever I land on an ocean planet.
3. Porting me back when I attack a monster (at random points)
4. Porting me back when I just simply move in a forest planet.
5. Porting me back just when I find liquid fuel in the moon like planet.
and lastly
6. Porting me back just when I finished off dreadwing!

as of furniture... frog furnishings sells this... castlevanish pieces every few days and so... and glitch castle blocks work like a charm!

 

You mean the gothic set? I've seen it (in the outpost shop), but unfortunate when I did I didn't have the money to buy them so I'm waiting it to appear again... unless the frogs in the swamps already sell them then I'm set..

 

hmmmm nope, im afraid they dont sell it. They sell junk tho... thats why I suggest to get rid of them c: maybe keep a couple houses to use as a reference for the castle courtyard
