What kind of starter pet would you like to start with?

Sprite done by me. I am as good on animation as average Blondie on rocket science, so don't expect gif or anything unless someone else will make it.

//edit: Also I like my current forum title (Space Penguin Commander), so if admins or mods would make it so I'll have it no matter of my postcount, that would be nice touch.

i would like to have a floating crystalline orb that occasionally sparks with electricity, perhaps its texture could have a dark circle that moves inside it to represent an eye, and it speaks/communicates through electricity induced air vibration like a singing Tesla Coil
such a pet would absorb minerals from its environment for food, and probably be photosynthetic

In all seriousness, I would be annoyed if I didn't have a large choice.

Everyone running around with the same pink bunny would be crap.

 

Don't be dissing the pink bunnies, the hero of time was a pink bunny once.

 

This is an important question. My answer depends on various factors.. Such as: Which one would give me the easiest time against the first gym leader? Which will provide the most competitive moveset and ability in endgame? Which tiers will I be allowed to compete in? What is their most powerful STAB move?

So many questions that require answering..

Friend, I invite you to do like me and pick the fire type starter. They often get the most speed of the 3 starters as well as the best mix of Attack/Sp. Attack, plus in the past 4/5 of them have been dual type, which gives them two STAB moves.

... Then, after you get your starter sorted out, rush to the first posible Eevee you can get.

 

But you understand my point.

It's not something I fear will happen in Starbound, though.
