What kind of mods would you like to see?

I would enjoy seeing what people create; new races, more vehicles, more planets,
more weapons, and more customization, oh I want my ship to be the TARDIS.

What is Tardis

 

All of them.

 

That would be interesting.. and a challenge, it would truly push people's creative limits.
after release, I think I would like to see a mod competition, might be fun.

 

I can imagine someone creating a zombie survival 'dayz' like gamemode with zombies and survival elements + scifi

I want to see my favorite MMO modded into Starbound(AKA an Overhaul like Tiy was referring to).

Ultima Online

Moonstones to travel to different dimensions, moon phases interacting with events, all of the magic from it(Summon Daemon, Flamestrike, polymorph, etc), all of the monsters, starting planet should be Sosaria with every town/dungeon/landmark, potion system, Karma system to know who murderers are and who heroes who don't stray from civility, fame system to grant titles to show who the truly noble people are, treasure map system!... Man, so much more.

Edit: I wouldn't be surprised to see people mod a WoW overhaul for Starbound.

I think it was rhetorical.. But you have somehow managed to make the tardis sound mundane, it is so much more, a living organism with a mind of its own, all the power of a sun and.. You did not even mention how it is bigger on the inside!

 

I've never seen doctor who. Is it a phone booth? lol

The TARDIS examines the environment it lands in, Determines the best possible disguise in which to avoid any possible notice, by any being, be they dalek, human, arachnoid or otherwise, Decides that, no, I dont want to be practically invisible, and then turns itself into a phone booth.

 

Tardis is actually an acronym for Time and Relative Dimension in Space. But really much like what Cynical_Wolf said, a space ship that can travel through time. The police box look is because a function it had for blending into it's surroundings broke while it was in 18th century London. I'm probably wrong about the century, but you get the idea.

When it comes to games I've never been especially fond of mods and such... I guess you could call me a traditionalist? Or an originalist? Or boring?

But no, seriously, I tend to prefer playing games as they were originally created with few exceptions. That said, if there's no way to create elevators/lifts in the game then I would definitely be looking for a mod that would let me. And perhaps, if it existed, some kind of track and cart system were I could lay down tracks and have a vehicle/cart travel along it. Elevators would make traveling vertically MUCH more convenient, which tracks and carts would make getting to certain places fun and fast! You could build a kind of monorail system with it in the sky! You could have it carry you to a nearby town like a bus! YOU COULD MAKE ROLLERCOASTER RIDES! 8D

 

I myself like the total conversions, it was neat seeing Minecraft turned into an action-adventure game engine (AdventureCraft) or a COD-esqe zombie wave shooter (ZombieCraft). Just interesting to see people take a game and go "this could be something completely different".
