What kind of mini games do you think Starbound will have?

Heres my list of things I can think of.

1. Boss battle. You fight all the bosses in order of difficulty. If you win you get a special item.
2. Normal PvP deathmatch. Team or non team.
3. Normal PvP deathmatch with vehicles.
4. Capture the Flag.
5. PvE. Kill a set amount of certain enemies. Maybe with multiple rounds and a time limit.
6. Treasure Hunt. Be the first to find the treasure on a randomly generated, temporary planet.
7. Obstacle Course. Run/Jump through various platforms, pits, and traps.

 

A Whack-A-Mole style game that nobody likes and is the laughing stock of Starbound.

Yes.

 

I enjoy more cooperative-style mini-games, so I hoping for some things like holding your ground or capturing an item from an enemy group. Well, actually, they don't sound like "mini-games" per say, but I always enjoy stuff like that.

I'm personally a fan of any sort of game that involves me typing stuff, so maybe some annoying researcher called some invading aliens with his communicator and the only way to shoot them down is to use this machine that only works if you input small words like "cat" and "ham" into it. Besides that, stacking things up to fetch an item or something sounds kinda neat, too.

I like the "Find my babies" penguin game. I used to love that on Mario 64, and Filipe, you are not the only fan of finding the 8 red coins. I liked that too .
A death race sounds interesting.

Also, because you mentioned bombchus, I can hear the music in my head. * hums the tune from bombchu alley, and every other minigame in OOT *

Since we've started ripping off Japanese animes, how about Medabots? Train drones to be awesome fighters that would compete with fighters online. Sounds pretty cool! Don't know how exactly that would work in-game, but still.

A crafting minigame where the better you do the better your equipment stats?

 

I would honestly be down with an arcade machine on a ship or a card game table.

 

What mini games I'd like to see is flying ships through space. That would be fun!

Crafting games are a cool idea. Kind of goes hand in hand with the cooking one. Flying ships through space starfawks style would be cool
