I remember having a little Asian-inspired tower in Terraria, with seven floors; one of each color, lit by colored torches. The very top room was a white room with a crystal ball and alchemy table. I'd love to be able to recreate something similar in Starbound.

 

A simple, wooden cabin that sits infront of a peaceful lake.

I'll just build the apartments needed to support the NPC's away from my cabin.

I'm going with a sort of medieval castle. They are always cool to live in and build.

 

A 6x8 underground house made outa dirt...

 

A seemingly innocent house, which is for good looks. Then you go into my basement, and you find a gigantic underground lair which takes up the entire planet.

 

It will look like a little hut on the outside. But there will be a lot of rooms in the underground.

 

An icy Dwarven fortress!

 

Either a floating fortress like the ones in Mario bros 3 or a Fallout bunker

 

Something like the Batcave for Batman.
Its a normal cave or whatever but if you tap the door right it opens up to a seemingly abandoned stronghold. If the wrong person enters then the turrets will blast him/her on their first step in.
Since ill be avian or plantman, It will be covered in vines and (if im avian) have the avian symbol.

 

A huge underground complex with everything.

My house will be the planet.

The whole upper area of the planet... will be converted into a home. The biomes won't be affected, but there will be housey elements in all parts of it. Underground, I may make a gigantic base that circles around the core of the planet.

Something massive, impressive, and time consuming is probably going to be my type of house. In sandbox games I'm always known for going off and building a house that is way to unnecessarily big and decorative to be called a house, anyone who remembers me from the terraria community knows what I'm talking about.

Knowing myself, what will most likely happen is once I settle into starbounds building I will go and work on project equally or more impressive then those I have done in other sandbox games.
