What kind of house do you want?

Several houses on different planets! One underground, one underwater, one in the treetops with rope bridges connecting the rooms, one in a volcano... etc. ONE ON THE CORE OF THE PLANET! then install an elevator to the surface.

If Starbound had more fantasy elements, I would say a cloud house would be ideal, I had fun building places at the top of the map in Terraria before they added the flying enemies. Considering the more high tech direction Starbound takes...Trying to recreate the SHIELD helicarrier could be fun

A simple design, but the shear scale of it...wow. Are the upper reaches meant as an arena for that dragon mob?

I'd probably start off with a shack somewhere, medium-sized because I feel really uncomfy in tight spaces even in games. Underneath the shack, my mining operations would take place, as well as probably research and stuff. Then when I have the ressources and boredom to do so, I'll build something up in the skies

 

A mansion that is the size of 5- no, wait...10 mansions!

 

or the whole world

 

I would live in a compound that is made up of a perimeter wall, mess hall, barracks, HQ, R&D, and Several sentry guns (if they implement them).

 

Maybe even the universe...

 

I'll probably try to build my house in isolation:
-on an island
-underground
-into the side of a mountain
-in the sky (if that's even possible)

It probably won't be too big. I tend to make my houses very utilitarian (they are very much geared towards a certain purpose i.e gear storage, npc housing, crafting etc.). When and if I get more resources I might make something more ornate.

 

floating house, beit in the air or in the ocean it has to be floating... that or a log cabin in a snowy place, log cabins are awsome

Mine will be a little unimpressive shack with a tunnel below it that leads to a super high tech lab.

 

A medium sized shack in an arctic planet. And maybe I'll attach an underground base to it.
